The V6 is a shit tier engine layout that is only popular because it's easy as shit to package and can fit nearly anywhere.

It's literally 2 inline 3's stuck together from a balance perspecfive. You have to have ridiculous amounts of compensation stuff like like weights on the crankshaft to make them rev smooth, or make them wide as shit on a 120 deg angle. They also sound abysmal

The v8 is the superior engine layout Ford just happens to have made a good v6 and gm has made a shitty v8 this generation of corvettes.
