Didn't get into a single war, just used clever ways to get most healthcare reforms enacted in the 50s (before socialism even got unlocked, it's possible but uncommon), got lucky and got an event that would give me two stages of the safety regulations reforms (the last stage gives you +0,01% to pop growth)

Used loyalty focus to get the communists in power, so I could focus on building profitable wine, liquor, oil and fuel factories.

Got lucky later on too, as I got 3 fascist welfare events, each one gives you +0,1% pop growth for a year or so

Krakow is actually a good country for this kind of tall memery, since you get events that raise your pop militancy and consciousness massively

Vicky 2 has depressingly little to do during all the downtime you get in it.
I'm not saying they should bring back hardcore micromanagement from Vtr but I sure would love if pop managment was somehow more involved than setting up sliders at the start of the game and jerking off.

It seems like a lot of population management involves hundreds of random popups that are impossible to follow and really see your strategy.
