Don't bleed them, use a caliper tool to squish the calipers down.

Probably a timing belt broke or they used excessively low octane fuel.

I know it's bait... But I don't care.

It couldn't have been nitro because the pistons would have been cracked on the edges due the piston ring gap not being big enough (learned this the hard way). My guess is timing chain failure.

Ive actually ran into this problem. It depends on the car obviously but if you have coil overs and you lower them too far, the bottom of the strut will rub against the CV joint and cut through it.
Obviously that pic is that situation taken to the extreme.
My car is as low as I can make it without this happening.

I had a customer who I had to call the police on because I wouldn't let her leave with a right front rotor that didn't look much different from that except it was still in one piece. She never did come back to have any more work done.
She called some lawyer and got him to call me and tell me that I was effectively holding her hostage when I gave her two perfectly reasonable options. I'd do the brakes, or she'd get a tow truck to carry it to another auto shop, but there was no way in hell that I was letting her take that car anywhere else.
