How many of you have done a manual swap?

>protip: none of you, not even me.

Not yet, you're right.

>Manual crown vic
muh DCC

shame about the nasty shift knob though

Did it years ago on my prelude. Why do you ask

Does it count if I swapped it from a manual to a manual?

I did it on a 190E 2.6 once. Was pretty easy.

Don't need to; I can just buy a car with a manual gearbox.

manual to auto on a 68 c20, 3 on the tree to auto on 67 f100, auto to manual on a 1990 civic shitbox

Depends whether you mean an auto-to-manual swap in a car that had both manual or auto options, or a manual swap in a car that only came with auto.

In either case, not me.

2 Volvo 744 and one 745
2 BMW 525 TDS

It's not rocket science...

The hardest part is usually bleeding the fucking clutch and not fuck the interior up

How hard is it to do on a FWD transverse shitbox?

swapped a t5 into my 86 Mustang. The pedals are the hardest part

>tfw there are 20+ parts you have to have for a mtx swap on your car
>And some fabbing on top of that

Yeah nah. Id rather just buy a used manual entirely.

What's the point, though?

For fun

crown vics are very fun in manual

No. I just buy manual like the rest of us.

lmao imagine living in a country where you have to really go out of your way just to find a manual car, feels good to be an EUfag sometimes

There's literally nothing wrong with cue ball shifters

Fuck you, I've swapped a manual transmission with a manual transmission.

Crown Vic is a Mustang GT with 4 doors.

why do a manual swap when there's actual manuals out there that cost less than your auto?

>there's actual manuals out there that cost less than your auto
You have people occasionally try swaps with sports cars, because this isn't always true in that case.
Sadly, it fucks the resale value (for classics, anyway) all to hell.

And about 900 pounds more weight, and a frame and suspension that dates back to the 1980s, and only the 2-valve 4.6, having never gotten the 3-valve.

cue ball doesn't fit in dark luxobarge interiors, 8-ball on the other hand...

Done more than one my friends, miss the old girl desu.

viewtiful

I tried, pedal was the hardest part.

The frame was modernized in 2003. Stronger with better steering and suspension components.

I did a manual swap on a TE72 by myself. I did call a friend to help bleed the clutch though.

I have I went from a 4 speed to a 5 speed

Tr6060s cost at or less than $2000 for my car, ill need to get a diff & a custom driveshaft aswell but all in shouldn't be more than $5000, plan to do it early next year

noice

I have. Me and a mate did one in an r31 skyline. It took 2 days and $700

I helped my mate do one. Does that count?
