A tank. We don't have a single tank main yet, despite a bunch of Royal Guards. Or Minstrel, but Minstrel is kinda boring because you'd just be singing the same song all day everyday for DPS to spam their shits.
A dedicated Sorcerer is fine too. We had one but he dumped Sorcerer and went with Archbishop instead. Speaking of which, another Archbishop can't hurt.

To be honest? Sorcerer.
As a tank, you're either facetanking things and autoattacking, or facetanking things and spam the same 2 or 3 skills over and over.
As a sorc, you're gonna have to manage one damage buff for every physical damage dealer, manage insignia which boosts party's damage dealer's output, transfer your SP to your party member when their SP runs dry and then do damage in between all of those.
All in all, Sorc is more fun and has more things to do. But Sorc is almost entirely a party class.

So that translates into a lot of grinding before you can even hope to get those things.
If they're common or low value, not a whole lot of appreciation gonna be coming your way even if they're freely given.

Well I'd look for a game that has very specalized/grindy/difficult crafting, so you can maximize your appreciation when you can produce.
IIRC Mabinogi had a notoriously difficult and expensive crafting system to level to Mastery, but the game's pretty old so a very active guild may be a problem.
Last I played Alexina was the most populated server, and thats where the Veeky Forums guild was, so that may help if you'd give it a go.
