I actually tried out something like this. It might be the only Elf deck that's better without Ancient Elf because she keeps putting your board back into your hand. Don't really care enough to test it out though.

I found ancient elf to reuse whisperers to be pretty good value considering there's not many other ways to flood the board

Story grants you cards from the "basic" tree which you can't get from packs or craft yourself, you should finish the story for at least the crafts that you want to play.

I've done it, but I wanted to go back to my RoB CSword deck because it was the deck I liked playing the most in RoB, especially pre-nerf when it did a very good job at countering Roach.
