AAA games use shaders extensively and sometimes not just for graphics but for computation as well. games are typically gpu-limited because you can do a lot with shaders as long as the gpu horsepower is available.

Thanks for the feedback. The whole deal with the burst is that the bigger your combo the bigger your burst, but since you can only get bombs via score it's a big risk/reward.

I have no idea what could be causing that and I can't get it to happen. You're not getting any kind of error log right? Have you played it in previous Demo Days? It might be a save-game related bug.

Are you keeping the data folder next to the exe?

i resized the game to the smallest resolution when i first started the game btw

Consecrated Rampage DD14.exe caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005)

I haven't been able to recreate this, it works fine for me, and that class it claims it can't find is definitely packed into the jar. What distro and jre are you using?

Also, I'm going to try putting together a packed executable for Linux with its own JRE like I did with Launch4j for Windows. If your machine can run any of the Unity or GMS demos it should be able to run that.

If you can't get get the jar to work then wait a few hours and I should have the Linux executable version uploaded.

After this project I'm never going to write a single line of Java again. I'm sick of having to figure out whether I'm at fault for system-level bugs, if it's LibGDX, gradle, or the user's JRE.

Was my problem, I might have fixed it. There were a couple shaders that I didn't set to always include.

For feedback on Seasons Pass, the gamepad support is pretty wonky. D-pad won't move and the stick is weird as such:
AnalogLeft gives you left+up
AnalogRight gives you right+down
going up or down on the stick doesn't move you at all. And if a stick is plugged in the keyboard controls don't work.
I actually like the aesthetic, it looks pretty cool for how much shit you were getting earlier

I got it to work thanks, it was an issue on my end. I needed to mark it as an executable and run it through a program rather than through the terminal. Game feels great even on my shitty $80 laptop.

I sure am, I don't get that on the nvidia rig or on the intel in my laptop, but I'll bet it's caused by OpenGL leaving depth testing on in the middle of the batch when it shouldn't. I'll remove those highlights from the batch and draw them separately with depth testing explicitly turned off.

I'll update the downloads tomorrow, going to wait around and see if anyone else gets any more bugs first.
