Your eyes need to be checked. The new LS and LC are two of the most beautiful cars to come out of Japan in a long time, specifically the coupe.

All the other GT cars it's competing with, the S-Coupe, the 6-Series, the Conti GT are all literal bars of soap with melted details. The LC looks like it was chiseled with a Samurai's sword from a solid block of carbon fiber, and the details are stunning throughout.

Maybe the original SC coupe, maybe the Z32, but I can't think of a single other Japanese coupe with such attention to detail in a successful overall design since the 2000GT.

Japan doesn't "copy" them, or anyone really, they just play it safe and apply functional ideas (they were not the first ones to make cars and not the first ones to discover which body styles worked well, after all) with minimal original design elements because anything fancy would be taking a risk with company money - even if they have no fucking clue what is functional and what is not, because they were not the first ones to make cars.
