I forget sometimes not everyone has Tyro BSB, which was the idea, and can substitute for Wall that long.
I've mastered every D250 and cleared all the CMs, so yeah no. On the first few turns any torment mob will only do a base attack anyway. You're basically exploiting that the AI is just dumb for the first few turns to get Asylum up easy.
U++ and Apocalypse battles have safety locks on the first few turns unless they're Garuda-level bullshit, have you ever noticed how Kefka's on-entry Meteor was followed up by two or three turns of entry-level shit damage?

Firion is fine, I think. I'm not sure that Soul Break hits trigger Mana Sphere counters (but they probably add to the count on how many hits x number of characters to determine the end effect when they die), but the real thing you want from it is his instant Magic Blink. Besides all of Firion's commands on the Burst attacks are Holy / NE so it shouldn't be a problem.
