Honestly- is starting out in 2nd on anything but a hueg hill really adding a noticeable amount of wear to my clutch? I drive a cb500f and first gear is only good to like 5 mph or else Im like wide open at 8000 rpm
I usually start in 2nd too, I haven't noticed any abnormal wear in 40k miles.

a fuel injected sv650 so you're not replacing timing belts and doing valve adjustments at the dealer

I'm p new to this and I dont want to be one of those dudes who drives off the blue ridge parkway and nobody finds them for years

Speeding ticket story
>be inna Idaho on way to MT >trade bikes with moto frand >freshly-purchased 2017 BMW R1200RS >dat torque >get frisky with throttle >pass cop >immediately pull over before cop is even up to speed >friend on my bike goes up road to wait >radared at 115 in a 65 >cop is nice >needs registration >on friend's bike >tell friend through Sena to come back to prove registration >does so >cop admits he couldn't tell which one of us was going 115 >asks both of us "at any point do you think either of you were going over 80?" >gets replies of "I don't know" >cites us both at 80 in a 65 so he doesn't have to impound and jail, and because we didn't run >$155 fine
We are probably going to fight it, as the officer freely admitted that he didn't know who was speeding, and my friend wouldn't have even gotten a ticket if he hadn't come back to deal with the registration. The fine is super cheap relative to what I'm used to, but it gives me a reason to take a road trip.
Austin Ross
>pic related, best bike i've ever seen posted in dbt So it's not yours and you don't have one, got it.
Aiden Rogers
I hear a lot of people that say to run But then i realise their usually lower class druggie squids. Ive never been given a ticket, been stopped about 8 or 9 times now. Just be polite.
Matthew Martin
Honda a best. Zuki a very close second. Wish I had money to fix it properly.

Hydraulic clutches is what's up, I've learned my lesson.
Sebastian Cox
On Harley yeah. Kinda sad they don't address the issue. It's kinda ignored
Lucas Thomas
Running is stupid. When you run the minor traffic infraction or misdemeanor your probably being pulled over for becomes something much more serious.
Asher Jackson
The struggle is real man. Hydrolic clutch is fo sho nice in stop n go traffic
Logan Diaz
Yes Whats wrong with hydraulic clutch? Arent they more reliable than a cable?
Brandon Murphy
if it wasn't so rare i'd buy it, one year made and it looks like the plastics up front are already fucked up
>Hydrolic clutch is fo sho nice in stop n go traffic That it does well. In some ways, although it adds a lot of unnecessary complexion. I've been tracking down a mystery issue for a while now but I think I finally got it. >after replacing literally everything.

This is the earliest version of those safety rules that I could find.

So what was it?
Landon Brooks
Master cylinder was leaking and letting air in even with new internals, just picked up a used one of a bike with 3k miles. Hoping it works this time around.
Mason Jackson
I'm sure it is. I've never had it happen, but I know my CB750 is very front heavy and probably prone to it.

Good movie, doesn't really have shit to do with motorcycles. They switched between 2 stroke and 4 stroke engine sounds for Luke's bike which was pretty funny.
Owen Johnson
Running is fun. Most of the time the cops don't even light you up cause they know they have no chance. $155 tickets are for suckers. If you held 115 you would never have gotten caught
John Wright
Did the subhuman fuck off yet?

The front wheel was upset by something, hit a bump and the wheel is set down slightly off center. The front wheel is wiggling trying to find center. The more you hold on, the worse you are making it.
A lot of times it can happen if you overload the front. On the gas hard, off the gas hard and too stiff on the bars.
Can be exacerbated by poor suspension settings.
Be loose on the bars and gas it out. Get the weight off the front end and let it settle itself.
Camden Hernandez

I'll take that as a yes. Thats sad. Might as well get a scooter honestly
Alexander Fisher
I've been stopped and ticketed for my tail tidy kit missing a rear reflector. (79$)
While I was stopped, he also gave me a 250$ ticket for my exhaust, which is just a standard sports bike slip-on with baffles installed, not even that loud.
I was respectful and wasn't giving him any lip, but you bet I won't be stopping next time.
Nicholas Sullivan
I have no idea am I doing this right. H4 bulbs have highs and low beams on the same bulb, I suspect that the right side light was intended to be lows only and left one is highs only. Well they didn't work, the left side was completely dark. I stole power from the right side light and somehow managed to get it working as a high beam too.
Basically I have two low beams and two high beams now, this thing will probably blind everyone that comes at it.
Ethan Morales
nah man, H4's are dual filament. Both are on for lows and both are on for high. Just separate filaments on at different times
H4's are common to find in cars aswell

no bully, you're starting to hurt muh feeling. i don't like it when someone makes fun of baiku. especially because only i know what it took for me to get it. have you any idea how much the prices of motorcycles are in ethiopia + the hassle of getting a license + the social stigma of driving a motorcycle + the reckless drivers who i gamble with three times a week on my way to uni? you're an old fag, you should know better than to make fun of others on a eritrean neo-masculinity forum.
