Who says Korea can't make Luxury Cars?

Looks like you faggots need to remember this is a company on the rise and is scaring the shit out of your precious German and Nip brands
Face it fags, Hyundai/Kia are leading the way

>RWD-based with optional AWD
They're better at building luxury cars than Audi already.

It's impossible to lead by imitating. But enjoy your hand-me-down VW AG designers, without them Hyundai would still build awful econoboxes.

>it's the "cars can't be luxurious without RWD" autist again

>implying Hyundai is stifling their creativity the way VAG and BMW have
They're not copying shit, but keep lying to yourself

It's a luxury car, not a sports car, you autistic retard.

neck yourself.

Yes, endless understeer is very luxurious.

They've been "on the rise" since the late 90s. Eventually you have to get somewhere and hold a position, or else "on the rise" will continue to mean "digging itself out of the shitpile it has become."

That said, I do think the Genesis cars have a nice presence on the road, though that may just be due to their rarity. I'm also looking forward to trying the Stinger GT.

Not going to make a difference in the matter in which luxury cars are driven.

>muh fwd

who cares

Yes, because RWD is entirely devoid of understeer.

Like previously stated, neck yourself.

Yet they're replacing it with the CT6

They'll have a sports sedan when the G70 is released

>Yet they're replacing it with the CT6

No, it is not replacement.

No one buys them, they're replacing them

Same with the ATS and CTS, they're bing replaced with the CT5

>No one buys them, they will not replacing them.

fix'd. No CT6 successor due to its extremely poor sales.

reuters.com/article/us-gm-jobs-idUSKBN1A52PJ

kek

What the fuck
This is GMs fucking fault because they didn't even market the CT6 correctly, it's honestly a feat of engineering making a car that size weigh just under 3700lbs fully loaded in RWD trim
I rarely saw a CT6 ad and the only one was the one where they don't even talk about the fucking car, just show it driving on cobblestones like it's a fucking concept car

>scaring the shit out of your precious Nip brands

Nah, we good nigga.

>That
>good
Did you even read the article in the OP, or did you just feel like flapping you dick suckers for the fuck of it?
Toyota's design language went from dull and boring to what the fuck, at least the gooks hired based German designers that know what's appealing to the eye

The Genesis looks like a knockoff Lexus LS from 10 years ago. The fact that it was actually designed by a former Audi designer only means to me that he was let go from Audi for a reason.

>looks like a 10 year old Lexus LS ripoff
Go to the optometrist, also he wasn't canned he was sniped

>gm cucking its sub brands
stop the presses

Seriously, the worst managed company in the fucking world, not just because they're pricks, but they're so fucking stupid as well

>implying it's only one guy
>implying that's a luxury car
this
CT6 sales went up by 174% this year
Guys, easy. The CT6 isn't in trouble.
usatoday.com/story/money/cars/2017/07/22/report-gm-may-kill-chevy-volt-sonic-and-four-other-cars/501798001/
>However, Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen told Jalopnik late Friday that the CT6 will not be phased out. Introduced in 2015, the CT6 is intended to serve as a flagship for the Cadillac brand.
>“There is absolutely, if I could speak all capitals now, they’d be coming out of my mouth,” de Nysschen, company president since July 2014, told Jalopnik. “There is absolutely no plan, at all, to cancel the CT6.”
>first 6 months of this year
>sales have increased 11.5% for the Volt and 172% for the CT6.
Meanwhile the impala and lacrosse are failing big

>CT6 sales went up by 174% this year
shit, meant to say 172%

Why is the LaCrosse failing? Is it an Impala/XTS platform-mate?

>172%

Because CT6 just came out last year. Brand new. It will decline severely like other old Cadillac cars next year.

and the poor sales were last year when it was barely known at all

>implying that's a luxury car

You are right about Cadillac is not luxury car company.

This

I'm saying the XTS isn't a luxury car. The CT6 deserves all the praise it gets.

>FWD
>luxury
pick one

The FWD car has a Cadillac badge, then it is a luxury car period.

Cadillac is Cadillac

Butthurt because Audi's A8 is basically an inflated Civic but it's luxury because leather
>not even Corinthian

Malaise caddys aren't worthy of carrying the badge

>muh fwd shill

The buyers don't give a fuck about it.

Lincoln Continental is a FWD car and sold very well.

Suck it up, anti-FWD fangirl shills

It happened period.

>completely devoid of

Depends on setup.

>the caddie that zigs

Kek

>sold well to nignogs
sounds about right
FWD caddys are also the main donk donor

I guess having a car built like the average econobox is the epitome of luxury.

>FWD caddys are also the main donk donor

yeah right... This is XT5 is FWD suv, and many sheboons drive this POS.

>FWD caddys are also the main donk donor
>implying

>pic of a hired driver
top lel, FWD nigger shills this desperate
my point exactly

lel that's a shitbox that looks good but will fall apart nevertheless

No offense dude, but the Hyundai/Kias are literally polished turds at best.

I've driven the same Kia for about 11 years now, not a single problem in over 120000mi, just regular oil changes and a headlight bulb one time. There's a stigma that Korean cars are turds but I'd take a Korean car over GM or a German luxury brand any day.

Consider yourself in the minority.
Friend leased a rio and got rid of it as fast as she could because it was such a bad thing.
We used to call her older Hyundai a deathtrap too because it was such a piece of garbage.

There's a reason you see less and less used Hyundais and Kias for sale.

>not even Corinthian
Corinthian Leather was a marketing term for fake leather, you retard.

>women friend
>has the shittiest Kia
>won't mention what model Hyundai to fit user's anecdotal bullshit
She destroyed the cars

>current lease offer for g80 sport: 650/ month, 4K down

>650/month for a Hyundai

It wasn't lol
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corinthian_leather
it's just regular leather tho

>Leasing

Dude, both companies literally have horrible reliability track records.

In the 90s, sure
In the early 00s, sure
Not now and not anymore, get over it

Lol they still don't have "good" reliability records as of 5 years ago.
They're merely "ok" econoboxes now, essentially Honda in the 90s.

You really need to read this link and reconsider your argument
jdpower.com/cars/articles/automotion-blog/5-car-quality-myths-busted

>essentially Honda in the 90s
That's pretty damn good d.e.s.u.

>(((jdpower)))
Reminder that those guys count all problems as equal. In those rankings it's the same to have a burnt light bulb than to have your water pump shit the bed and take the whole engine with it.

I'll take CR over JD desu.

#6 and #9 in this article
money.cnn.com/gallery/autos/2015/10/20/consumer-reports-most-reliable-brands/index.html
Or this one which includes pic related
cars.usnews.com/cars-trucks/honda-vs-hyundai

Archive that, it's behind a pay wall

this isn't behind a paywall.
"lower than average"

>reliability across the board has been mostly average
>>>>"lower than average"

(((Consumer Reports)))

>thread about luxury cars
>the genesis coupe has below-average reliability
>their luxury a shit

>Genesis Coupe
>the same as a Genesis G70/G80

I really like the k900 for what it is.
Considering they depreciated like a boat anchor, you can pick one up with the v8, rear luxury package and low miles for 20k. Seems like the ultimate comfy cruiser

The Gen Coupe isn't up for discussion, it's also been discontinued yet still better than the GT86

They've lost like 20k in depreciation in 2 years, you can have a '15 for the same price as a new 3 series

>(((consumer reports)))
almost as bad as jdpower desu

it was discontinued for a reason you mong

It was too bland for this world
Which sucks because when it's suspension and exhaust are replaced it becomes a great couple with shitty steering feel

nice aud... oh

>gook luxury

>implying dumb whores could tell the difference

good job posting one of the few cars uglier than the gook trash

>audi
>luxury
see lmfao

ok

You give women too much credit, go out more and you'll see

They really took the smart way into the market.

People might see it as a shitpile it dug itself into, but you either start by making ultra cheap and moving up market i.e hyundai, kia or start expensive and move down market (tesla.)

The thing is when you start as a shit heap you keep that reputation. You want people to want your car, not buy it solely cause they can't afford anything new. That said, that k900 interior looked nice.

>The thing is when you start as a shit heap you keep that reputation.
Say that to Lexus, Acura, and Infiniti
Hyundai is taking the exact same path as Toyota, Honda, and Nissan once did

Except those three names were always affiliated with luxury (the subbrands that is). Hell not everyone even realized they were related either at first.
The issue with Genesis is that they reused a name from a car that got pretty meh to bad reviews.

Back when Lexus came out people said, I aint buying some expensive ass Toyota.

Now it is a top comparison vehicle.

Kia and Hyundai snatched up all the pieces they needed to move upstream.

The stinger is going to be a brand image revamp.

Good job lacking any eye for design or aesthetic, you crocs-with-socks trash of human being.

How thick are you? My point was that Toyota, Honda, and Nissan started off with shitty reputations, became better, then spun off their own luxury lines
This is exactly the same thing Hyundai/Kia had been doing

The reviews got a lot better once they got Lotus to tune the suspension though.

>650/month for a Hyundai

>Leasing for a Hyundai

If there was a coupe version of the Genesis G90, i'd look into buying it. I'm being 100% honest.

>Leasing

beautiful

>car with a face only it's mother could love
Of course losers here would think it looks good

>$60k Hyundai

>buying a hyundai

The kia stinger gt is putting down 4.7s 0-60.

Hyundai has said the g70 is gonna be a coupe and said to be lighter and have a faster 0-60 then the stinger gt.
