CAR AESTHETICISM

Why do low budget cars look so hideous? Why don't car companies make Ferrari/lambo looking cars even if they are underwhelming in performance?
What's the point of having such fucking hideus aesthetics in ''normal'' cars? I don't fucking get it.

the jews

oy vey goy, dont stand out we're all one people

Would Jews sell more by making super aesthetic low budget cars? Who the fuck decides this crap?

Wouldn't Jews*

Mass produce a shitty cheaply made and slow car that looks nice for really cheap vs just make that nice looking car an overall good car and making it more expensive

What do you think would make more money?

protip: it isnt the first one

I still don't get it. Is making aesthetic car bodies expensive by itself? Why can't you just have some shitty ugly car line like the camry looking like an Italian supersport with all the same components?
It would push the industry to make super aesthetic cars even at low budgets, and everyone wins. No one would have to see ugly as fuck cars anymore

>and everyone wins.
Your biased mind only accepted facts that supported your viewpoint and discarded facts that didn't support. That is quite unfair and is why your logic is wrong.

As soon as you break down your vague term "everyone wins" into specific items and justifications with ad hoc numbers and opportunity costs, you'll see why your statement of "everyone wins" is wrong.

that is fucking stupid, nobody wants an econobox that can't go over a speedbump

Non-troll answer?

The car body itself is as much about improving fuel efficiency, maximizing interior space, and reducing production cost as anything else now. Cheap, efficient shapes that give you lots of interior space are rarely what you would consider aesthetically pleasing.

Making something that looks good will generally require a higher degree of engineering to be both economical to produce and aerodynamically sound. Sacrificing interior space risks diminished sales

Combine
with this
and you get the small aesthetic sports cars like the MX5, BMW Z3, GT86, Civic Type R and so on. They exist OP, you're just a whiny bitch.

Because styling costs money,

Because of interior space and practicality. Getting in and out of a ferrari or something can be kind of tough. Especially for old people or americans. Not to mention they usually have a hard time with speedbumps and are way too wide for narrow inner city roads.

...

FWD.
I fucking hate car makers.

Yeah, well fuck practicality. Give us ferrari looking cars that are cheap to make and can be easily upgraded, maybe even sell upgrade packages, bring car tuning to the masses.

It's literally what OP asked for, an econobox in a sports car body.

It looks nice and it's affordable. That's it.

Not as good as a Ferrari, even his looks scream ''cheap as fuck''. Why couldn't they make it overly aggressive and keep the same components?
It's like car manufacturers all agree that cars under certain budgets just can't look cool, or it would confuse people.
Look at pic related, you think this is a car worth paying 20k for?

Speak for yourself. This hideous piece of shit car in pic related, can go over speed bumps and it didn't have to be this fucking ugly.

Looks breddy gud to me desu.

I sincerely hope you're just trolling me to revel in my pain. That car makes me want to puke.

To intentionally segment the car buying demographics. You pay for looks as well with expensive cars. If all cars looked so good, what would be the incentive to buy expensive cars
>muh performance
Lol, most people buying expensive brands only want the badge and looks

I feel Americans back in the 70's where the only wants who understood how to make cheap cars look sexy and wild. But then thn 90's arrived and they all cucked themselves to soccer mom's or something.
God bless the American spirit, I hope it never dies.

I know, right? So someone smart with some money could literally start a car company that completely destroys the market easily.
WHY IS IT NOT HAPPENING? WHERE'S THE MARTIN SHKRELI OF CAR MARKERS?

Is this why General Motors is trying to own as many car companies as possible? To control the market, right?
Fucking hell, cars are dying.

Here, another American gem. Cheap, beautiful and fast. If it wasn't a midship, this would be one of the best cars ever made for me.

You might have a problem. There's nothing inherently wrong with it.

It has died.

I do have a problem, and that's you.

It never existed to begin with.

Spartans never die....

Ford is literally doing this. What you're asking for is lazy and unethical. You must be Chinese thinking the best way to do things is copy the best on looks and put function second hand.

Who are you even? Some random weaboo that the only turkey he's stuffing for thanksgiving is himself, with a bad dragon dildo filling. I bet.
You'll never be rad, begone.

>Lazy and unethical

No, lazy and unethical is create a monstrosity like pic related.

Keep pledging allegiance to that flag, goyim.

>not pledging to the flag of Kekistan

Keep thinking you're an enlightened intellectual for believing being proud in the achievements of your nation is something only sheeple do, while you live your nihilistic life, with no goals and ambition beyond getting high everyday and hoping to die.

>Civic Type R
>aesthetic

There was this for example. Looked like a Porsche killer but was just a fucking Peugeot.

>Wanting to be associated with autists, virgins and weaboos

There's also the slicker Golf.

See? We need more like this.

Imagine a world where even the cheapest of the line budget cars look some to be proud off. No more disgusting cars driving the roads, no more uninspiring disgusting and unaesthetic aberrations of nature walking around.

The R was a Boxster killer.

People with very little money are going to buy cheap cars anyways.
People with a lot of money have less incentive to buy their sexy cars if there are just as aesthetic cars with less admirable engines for 10% of the price.

Great, so you release performance packages you can buy and bring to your trusted mechanic for them to install. So people who want performance, can have it too. Look increase the power of your computer. Plus, people who want performance will always find a way, hardly any car stays car factory default if you are looking for a 800HP semen demen

>Look increase the power of your computer

The same way you increase the power of your computer*

Triggered, lol.

Oh yeah, I am Literally Shaking.

And getting fucked in the ass by a dog

Shaking your dick at a bull pleasuring your wife for sure

Ford Escort Mk1, Opel Manta, R5 Turbo, MG sports cars, Alfa Romeo in various flavours. Focus was more on sports, less on muscle, but in essence the same - cheap and good looking.

Well, he did mention Lambos... those aren't aesthetic either, just tacky nowadays. Just like the Civic Type R.

L O T U S

>strawman: the post
Good job mate.

MR isnt the problem, the problem was that Pontiac had to fight tooth and nail to even get it into production. It got kneecapped by GM to prevent Corvette competition, especially in the engine department. The build quality was absolutely awful, with a huge amount of failures in many core components. It was fighting an uphill battle it's entire life, and got it's throat slit in the end.

The concept of the Fiero is attractive, but the execution of the concept was plagued by GM's chokehold on Pontiac and the abysmal quality assurance only matched by FCA in the 00's

That said, if it had the TT V6 from the ATS-V, I believe the Fiero could be done well nowadays.

pontiac's designs are top tier. There's not a one out there that isn't aesthetic as fuck. even the aztek isn't that ugly, it's strange but it looks cool.

design costs money.
t. someone who studied design as a minor

>beautiful

bahahaha your eyes need to be checked

Plenty of normies think the Veloster looks like a true sports car.

The fact that it's only 20k is why it sells.

it was a TT2 copy

I agree, Pontiac is great at aesthetics.

How much money? You only have to develop it once...

Nope, I don't.

I just can't imagine myself spending 20k or leasing a modern car like a Veloster, and genuinely being happy with the buy. Who the fuck does that? It's like those people who buy already assembled PC's at Walmart.
