Literally any of the three mage dads in FE4(Claude, Lewyn, Azel) make Arthur into one of the best second gen units.

The problem is, swords are kind of pointless on mage knights and warmages. So if you want a game where both swords and tomes are good on a mage knight, not sure about that one.

FE8 mage knights completely removed swords since they couldn't do str/mag in one.

Awakening Dark Knights were trash because you couldn't have a mounted Nosferatu user.

Fates dark knights have the worst weapon triangle spread because they can only use red items.

Not too bad at all. Armors was the first mission I completed. Helps that I've got 5* full SI Effie, and 4* lvl 40 Gwen and Sheena for armor buffs.
