if its para, just switch to uncoated while you do damage to it, since it lasts like 5 seconds, then you can try applying more para.

shorter duration than pitfalls, same downsides compared to shock but they inflict the status even if the monster escapes through immunity

Bear (Arzuros?) Trap

Looks and works like a regular bear trap. Upon getting triggered it deals a bit of damage and sticks to the monster for a while and hinders its movements. More traps on a monster slow it down further up to a cap of, lets say, 5 traps.
Obviously can't cap with this trap.

Though I think adding in more trap types would just make Hame and Stylish SnS stronger.

Bind trap. It's a trap that binds their legs for a bit, tripping them. Trap duration doesn't diminish with multiple uses, it always lasts as long as a regular monster trip.

I'd add a third option for gender when designing your hunter.

Spike trap
It's a trap that damages the monster slightly and slows it down to a crawl but it may become enraged, the trap also remains on the field and may be triggered once more after a long delay.

Sleep trap. Releases a powerful sleeping gas if the monster steps on the trap. Don't have a sleep weapon? Here's a sleep trap instead!
