Brits were the only decent colonisers and there colonies appeared to have turned out the most successful (Australia, NZ, Singapore, Hong Kong, even Jordan or Malaysia) and the more successful African nations today were once British colonies (Botswana, Mauritius, S.Africa maybe).
Kenya is also successful, just very poor, and Nigeria is the "Tiger" of the African economies but then the country floats on a sea of oil so its success was inevitable.
