no, that's not the point. If I can buy real value ingame with currency then the ingame currency gets diluted and inflation happens. That's like being able to buy power in a game of chess. You play chess for the game, you don't play it with the intention of beating your opponent by using your financial prowess because chess isn't supposed to be a test of wealth.

None of the shit in this game that is cash shop only will change that. It is weight and inventory, and some maids. Theyre for marketplace shit and lifeskilling. Play the chess game all you want, no one paying real money on this game will have an advantage on you in a 1v1 situation because they bought shit. This isn't Archage.

all these things you listed give you an effective advantage. Processing costume for example with weight limit increase from the cash shop allow you to afk process extremely large chunks of your storage so you can basically just let your PC running in the background even if you are at work or sleeping. That's not an option for anyone that doesn't use the outfit because they have to manually store their materials much sooner.

So what does this mean? It means that the person that spent money can generate more ingame money with minimal effort. More ingame money means more effective enchanting cycles or straight up equipment purchases. And that person will outperform you in PvP and PvE even if they aren't mechanically gifted because it really doesn't matter how bad you are if all your shit one-shots enemies.

If you came to BDO (or any KR game desu) expecting good PvP and to be able to keep up with the whales... well you didn't do your research.

what's the best material to produce through processing? It seems that steel has a fairly low time investment/profit ratio because you don't need to process the coal into anything. But Brass seems to have a higher volume/profit ratio. It also seems to sell faster in my experience.

yeah, outfits cost up to 30 bucks. Costumes with buffs too important to miss for lifeskillers cost around 20 bucks. Pets which are unavoidable if you actually want to make your money through looting and combat grinding cost around 10 bucks on average.

That's fucking insane. And then there is QoL shit like weight limit increases which is also fairly important for people who craft, gather and process and overall useful for people who get tons of loot through combat. So that's another 15-30 bucks on top of that.

oh and I forgot, the retarded pearl shop system prevents you from just directly buying the shit you want. You usually need to spend more money than the item is actually worth because they don't allow you to buy a specific number of pearls. So you spend additional money just for the privilege of being able to buy the item you wanted.

Ive spent close to 400 dollars on Hearthstone since its release. If you want to talk about p2w, those cards are legit necessary to have a fighting chance at ranked play in that game. I've also spent close to that amount on RNG Lootboxes in Tera, and that shit isnt even necessary, I just like gambling. I hate that weight and inventory space is character bound considering I want to swap mains every few months, but nothing I can do to change it man.
