What's the point of a v8 if a v6 delivers more power with less weight?

Make a 4.7 liter v8 with the same valve train specs, and equivalent turbo specs for the larger engine for the boost to perform the same, and the v8 will blow the v6 out of the water. I imagine even with exact same turbo not matched to the new engine, the v8 would make more power, even though it would stretched thin.

A v6 only gets 6.
A scaled spec v8 engine makes more power than its v6 counter-part.
