its not a meme. gief after an spd is 50/50 - he meaty spds again or meaties you. if you block, you are praying its a meaty. if you jump, you are hoping its a throw. and if you guess wrong, you are in a 50/50.
if you get knocked down by majority of top tiers, they all have throw loops - literally meaty throw that eats jabs and shits on blocks. if you tech, you risk the shimmy or meaty jab. theres no reaction to it and its why many pros get thrown 2-3 times in a row - its preferrable to eat the throw to guessing wrong. delay tech doesnt help in this situation either.
then theres the 50/50s on things like ibuki kunai combos or karin resets or laura mixups. they are pure 50/50s at the end of completely safe blockstrings or knockdowns.
you calling it a meme doesnt make it not true. shitters complaining about a high low where the high is 25 fucking frame startup or other garbage are memes. many dont even know what afucking throw loop is or how its different from something like cammy throwing them multiple times because they are too scared to push a button. the 50/50s in this game are very, very similar to injustice 1 - series of highly + moves ending in a pure 50/50 and all leading to large damage. its not a meme.
