It came out too late and didn't get time to be fully developed, so it wasn't really competitive with the absolute madmanmobiles like the 205 T16 and Delta S4.
Too heavy and not enough power, much like the Quattro.

I spent myfirst few years wirh a driving licence driving that exact same Fiat Panda, with the asymmetric metal grille. It was the cheapest Panda version, the "Junior", with a 34hp single-carbureted 1,1l 8-valve engine, 4-gear manual trans. 0-60 must have been well over a minute, but only with the wind at your back. Rigid axle with leaf springs in the rear. I put that thing in the ditch once, trying to keep up with a BMW 3-series. Nice memories
