It was respectably quick in it's day. And even today I wouldn't call it slow. But the 924/944 is all about the handling, which it does very well.
Plus it's a Porsche, and that gets the bitches wet. At least until they see the car. Then the disappointment is palpable.

I would if I had one. The one that came in the car was more of a danger on then off since it had major cracks and a huge section missing. And since Ford doesn't carry them anymore I have to get it from either a yard (which the parts gone by the time the car hits them) or on one of the parts groups for some silly price.

It can become contaminated with fluids. From a leaking valve cover gasket for example.

It's a good thing I've already replaced my cover gasket, and I go over my bay every Saturday to check for any problems.

its more along the lines of figuring out how he hacked up the electrical and emissions systems. he claimed the engine was rebuilt but had no paperwork to prove it. the water pump and timing chain are new for sure, but i'm uncertain as to everything else because some pretty obvious stuff that you would do in an engine rebuild was ignored.

had a powersteering leak recently, it looks nothing like this now

Doubt the engine has been out of the bay in years. Look at the front hoist hook.
There's a lot of messes in there.
You're either gonna learn a lot about that truck while fixing just about everything or you're gonna ditch it.
