POO

Kill yer friends, boyo

...

How do you even get started in those games? I keep getting oneshotted by all the low level demons at the beginning.

Same user. you git gud

Jokes aside you grind a bit so the MC can have a sword and some armor and grind a bit more. You have to grind a bit in the beginning of MT1 and MT2 honestly. Since you, are manly STR and can't use magic AND you don't start of with a wepon and the heroine has no damage spells until a few level ups latter. Gets easier from there

is Demiurge the only one w/ Antichthon in SMT4?

Shiva, Red Rider

Shiva, Demiurge, Red Rider

is Shiva a lvl. 80+ demon? ingredients?

Rangda + Barong, it's always this fusion

Shiva is 90.

what was everyones first reaction to this? lel
i know the source was from a japanese artist from pixiv

he's level 90, barong and rangda special fusion

I went chaos route first time around. Blood chilled when Hikaru called herself Lucifer and turned it into that creepy apparition thing.

the minute purple squidward walked out I thought, ok, this obviously is not his final form or anything, he'll get the wings and shit later. then he didn't and I was kind of mad.

then I played law next, got to him, and thought his second phase was shit and knew i had been rused. fucking guest artists

Saw it before playing the game and I had no idea what it was supposed to be

I'm playing nocturne for the first time after losing all my progress about a year ago. I decided to play on hard mode since I knew what was coming for the most part, but so far I'm just not having much fun with it. Is the amira network one of the gayest levels in hard mode or should I just go back to baby mode like the faggot I am? Getting in on that new thread smell.

I knew about it before playing the game, thought it was shit compared to the Lucifer in Persona, SMTIV was my first SMT game. Have since played the rest of the series and can't imagine what it must have been like to stumble into that thing blind as a long time SMT fan.

The first time you go into the amala network? Yeah that place is pretty shit, gets better right after.

I unironically enjoyed playying through nocturne on hardmode going in blind, it was a really fun experience for me, you just gotta learn how to get good.

hard mode is just an afterthought though

"baby" mode is how it was meant to be played in the first place

>devil busters to prepare people for what was coming

Maybe Kanako is doing the same thing

It'd be pretty funny if I sided with Dagda, I think.

When you have a human cast as large as Apocalypse it's honestly a shame to just have a binary route choice between "kill them all" or "kill none of them". The game would be much more interesting if the other routes were fleshed out (Law, Chaos, an actual DP route) and the characters were given alignments so that your party will almost definitely break down no matter what you choose.

predict the demons that will appear in SMT HD:

I frigging want Fafnir's SMT:IMAGINE model in HD

>an actual DP route
I agree, what we need is a double penetration route

Pixie

>I agree, what we need is a double penetration route
But who will be the DP hero?

Why does he talk like that

Who would you let tag team Nozomi with you?

This dude

Dagda.

...

Probably most everyone from Persona 5, with a few substitutions like Doi Odin, a few extra old demons, a few new Doi drawn plot demons, and if they feel they have enough then reskins like Choronzon might not make it in.

this guy

Waifufaggatory is the quintessential world of chaos

the "unique" demons from Raidou Kuzunoha like Oboroguruma(the ghost car) are possible

Why doesn't Alice use the real fusion in SMT IV

Flynn is from Mikado he does not support faggotry

Why is he friends with the 3 gayest samurai then

I'd actually quite like Dagda as a summonable demon in HD. I like his design a lot.

Speaking of Dagda, I'm playing through Apocalypse, and I just got past the part where Odin beats you up and Krishna tells everyone you are a dead boy Dagda brought back to life and I've realized I actually don't care about any of these characters.

I think that the game has too many party members, none of which have a real discernible personality beyond one basic trait, like Asahi's trait being "insufferable".

I normally go for the feel good endings but honestly at this point I don't care whether or not these characters live or die.

I do like Navarre though.

because he's gay himself

being gay is different from being a faggot

for instance, one guy I know is super gay, takes enormous dicks on the daily, can't survive for like an hour without 2 healthy BBCs DPing him while he spergs out even harder on gay porn sites. but he's not a faggot.

I know another guy who browses Veeky Forums all day, smells like shit, looks like shit, hair is greasy and damp, eats doritos, watches cartoons in class, bashes into hot girls deliberately because he thinks it's 'alpha' and 'women love his no-nonsense badass attitude', plays his switch outside, and looks like an autist when he runs. he is a faggot

What games use that fusion other than P5?

Make Navarre your goddess and kill the others

>Game where you can only use one human party member at a time has a bigger party than a Persona game with less than half the time to actually develop them
What could possibly go wrong?

Why does all the equipment in Final look so awful?

Belobog

This demon looks more like Lucy should than the AYYY.

I actually really liked and Asahi and the rest of the cast so yeah, to each their own

It's not like persona does any better with all the time it gets for development. Pretty much everybody stops being relevant the moment the dungeon that introduced them is over and if they didn't get to develop enough, tough luck, that's all they get. The ones who do get actual development are more of an exception than a rule.

Playing Apocalypse, was passing up Critical Eye a mistake? I already have Charge and really don't feel like buffing twice for every attack in boss fights.

If you dump luck like you should with a STR/DEX build you'll crit without it.

>leddit spacing

Mostly because they shoehorn their development off into their SLs.
Which would be fine if it wasn't poorly reflected onto main plot (i.e. Ryuji or P4 in general). Odd compared to 3 where you got waifus with SLs but they had their own developments in the plot.
Can't believe a person can somewhat suck more at doing that though.

It is, unless you have like 200 luck. buffing twice is fine for boss fights since you're going to want to use those turns to set up tarukaja/rakunda

this.

i think i'll take apoc's slightly bigger cast that still does get some development rather than the usual SMT staple of alignment zombies. DeSu I think did it miles better but apoc worked.

in persona they don't even try to hide what trope they represent and are largely forgotten about apart after the 'significant event that pertains to them' other than your waifu. worse still is that barely any of them develop into their own people, it's just "well you solved my problem for me, guess I'll just hop on your dick now". even apoc for all its shit writing understood how to do this well

>calling someone leddit because they didn't fall for the childhood friend waifu bait

>they all hop onto your dick in both games
Kavorka

>i think i'll take apoc's slightly bigger cast that still does get some development rather than the usual SMT staple of alignment zombies.
Yeah but you can write characters that have both personalities AND beliefs. Which I hope to see in SMTHD.

they do, but they also develop. hallelujah grows a set of testicles, gaston stops being a faggot, toki understands how to not act on her impulses, etc. it's not the best of character writing but it's something. and it's well represented by the fact they all turn against you on anarchy because they are all their own people.

in persona, the minute you solve a person's problem for them, they love you, which is disgustingly simplified in P4 by the shadows and by going through a palace of someone who is causing a problem for another person in P5. i'm not saying that it's much better in Final, what with that awakening passive cringefest, but final actually has a plot for most of the game that's not related to your companions, whereas nu-persona's character stuff takes up at least 70% of the game.

of course, and i hope that happens as well. final I think was a step in the right direction with a poor execution.

>final I think was a step in the right direction
So much this

I liked Asahi but only because I kept clinging to my original expectations of the game being a retelling of Akira's desperate attempt to save his sister last incarnation
He really had no business being made into such a major player, it was a follow-up so it could've been a less significant story instead of another fate of the universe battle

they're just player dick sucking zombies instead since none of them have any consistent beliefs of their own
Devil Survivor already made Persona-esque character interaction with people who hold actual convictions and have dreams for the world and who won't all kneel down for you just because you exist. From a storytelling point of view Apocalypse was a massive waste of time.

Is there a character I should be giving priority in the interactions of DeSu2?

I'm in day 3 and everyone but Daichi are level 1 so far.

psyduck

I mean the main thing is whatever social bullshit persona is rather than secondary characters to the alignment wars which aren't just associated to one character.
I mean it's not as if Persona itself didn't have plot development, P3 had that. Issue is the lumping of development all into SL in later ones. It doesn't show in main plot because plot moves on without your characters (everyone after their mini arc not being MC's mouthpiece or related to overarching plot) but the characters are the main thing.
IVA at least did that I do admit, even if the execution may be eh (don't care about that, daddy dagda)
Main thing is that Mainline guys always get lumped into their ideologies as their driving force. Even in IVA where everyone represents Bonds by the end than being more splintered (something I hoped because of their roots, but granted people aren't defined solely on that either).
Depends on if they can have good character writing. Scenario's always been fine.

>NG+ only demon
WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?

Persona Q and Devil survivor 2.

Speaking of wich what are your favorite demon recipes? Mine is the moirae sisters to get Norn.

>IV
>thought
He's on the cover too, right?
Hilarious considering a good chunk of those guys on it aren't usable in main plot.

You know what we need in SMT V? A shota protagonist who wears short shorts

Haven't you taken enough from us fujo?

Will there be /ss/?

...I really liked the game. Like really REALLY liked it. Not even ashamed, the feeling I got from Bonds was supreme.

>tfw computer cant emulate smtiv
back to persona i guess

It's a great game and you have no reason to be ashamed, people will always have something to hate on, what matters is that you have fun, i loved it too user

I liked the game too and I didn't even bother to go back and play through Bonds. I didn't even like the original IV.

Alignments are outdated, we need to get with the times and replace them with "X"

I agree, but what's more outdated, alignments, or Kanekos shitty angel designs?

>shitty angel designs
Gabriel is a miracle made by our one true God

Do you guys feel more attached to the demons you scouted or the ones you fused?

Alignments.
Older designs sheets are in use.

Napaea

It's not the 80s anymore, grandpa.

Usually fused, but I've had some exceptions.

Demons are tools

I wish there was some kind of feature that let you look back at all the components of a particular demon.

Fused usually, especially when I work hard to autism up a perfect fusion.
I think IV and IVA had this feature.

I'm pretty sure that's a feature in IV

Say what you want about the old art, but they still look good in P5.

Why can't they let you use Heat and Roland?

Huh, so I didn't dream it. I just checked IV and it's there. Seems to be cut in Apocalypse, though. Also holy shit the UI is so much darker in Apocalypse.

Was it Doi or a guest artist?

I don't think Doi did demons at all in IV.

Tamotsu Shinohara: Minotaur, Napaea, Dullahan, Koga Saburo, Tenkai, Chemtrail, Ancient of Days, Sanat

Yasushi Nirasawa: Centaur, Medusa, Asmodeus, Michizane, Lucifer, Masakado

Kyoma Aki: Kuebiko, Yamato Takeru, Kenji, Astaroth

Yoshihiro Nishimura: Omoikane, Pluto, Pluto Soldier, Yaso Magatsuhi

Keita Amemiya: Lilith, Michael, Raphael, Gabriel, Uriel, Merkabah

Which are the meme-demons that basic people always use?

I'll start: Alice.

Tamotsu had the best designs

Guys im gonna start playing SMT 1. Any tips you can give me?

>have designer
>not let him design ALONG with guests

He designed all the humans.

YASO MAGATSUHI

...

YASO MAGATSUHI

But who cares about humans when we have demons. the bread and butter.

Demons that can buff are a million times better than shitters that only have attacks. Chu Chu and Tam Lin>>>>>>>>>any other shitters

Electric attacks and nerve/sleep bullets break the game.

Vitality is the priority on MC, Magic on Heroine.
