No. Even if you have the Steel Lance's slayer skill, equipping Rhomphaia (which also has the slayer skill) will not give you the skill until you relearn it for Rhomphaia. Likewise, someone else equipping the Steel Lance will not get the skill.

You can't use iron lance skills with the steel lance though.

A lot that I'm not 100% daijobu with here, could be better. I feel like Fates is more restrictive in efficient pairings than Awakening ever was, like there's not a lot of room for variety, I can't even get all the shitting kids and many of the pairings I'm doing are ones that I've seen everyone else do. The lack of magic dads is probably my biggest complaint. Elise doesn't seem to want anyone but Odin. Maybe Niles.

Serenes lists an SP value next to skills; can you only equip a certain amount from that weapon like Capacity in Radiant Dawn?

I wonder how much time and money they saved switching to VN style conversations in Echoes. The game does have some cutscenes that use 3d models but there aren't many of them.

I suppose, Setsuna had nowhere else to go. I never see her get talked about in eugenics discussion nor does she have any popular pairings, and after experimenting with a Felicia!Midori and Selena!Midori in earlier playthroughs I figured Midori just wasn't worth the effort either way. Her gimmick will be the +7 SPD modifier.

Revelations story is either worse or slightly above CQ's story. depending on your view. The first half of Revelations is just fine, but the Valla curse plot gets annoying. The second half is just...bad.

Well, you can also get all of the kids in one playthrough and see all the supports between characters you normally couldn't in Birthright and Conquest (ie. Xander and Ryouma, Subaki and Selena, etc.)
