She was the one who wanted to try it, so of course I said yes. I actually unironically like the story mode. It's got a certain cheeziness to it and the humor is dumb and fun. Like an modern film trying to be 80s action.

Like I said Season 2 she's excited for, so, here's hoping i'll have someone to play with exclusively and not just random 4channers.

I bought it for my gf that loves vikings, and sparring with her Valk was really fun, but sadly not everything is meant to be

Duel is the worst mode in the game. Everyone has a huge fucking ego. You can't have a good fight because if you start to win they just turtle or use the most bullshit tools to try to win.

I've run into plenty of decent people in duel. there's a fair share of tryhards as well, though.

it's really hard to gauge it because no one LIKES to lose, and everyone WANTS to win. ANd if they are really ALL about winning, they will do everything in their power to do it.

There are rare exceptions but it's just TOO rare.
I did the duel order with Nobushi and one Warden I fought against was nice as fuck. Last round was 2:2 and he positioned himself on the ledge and waited for me to kick him down because he felt bad for shoulderspam or whatever. I grabbed him but didn't push so we had a good fight and I won by an inch. Then I quit because the moment was too good to be ruined.

That sucks when it happens, but I've actually had 3 separate people try to help me out with what I was lacking, one dude helping me with gb counters, another with parries, and the other helping me deal with light spam as LB.
Kinda regret not adding any of them, they were all really chill.

Personally the only issue I have with warden is I don't know how to do Top Heavy post Bash and how I do the sliding forward 30meter grab. Even after practicing good 5+ hours.

conq isnt even good, he's just so annoying to fight against because conq can't do anything so conq players don't do anything. they just sit there and turtle. in team fights they just keep disengaging and shield bashing into people over and over again.

If I'm not playing Raider, I tend to just quit against Warden. It's not fun. Conq is fucking awful too. He's not powerful, just boring, and Conq mains are a bunch of smug tier whores who think playing a turd who is boring to play as and against makes them giga niggers.

Centurion has an emote where he lays down on his side and mimes eating grapes. He also totally pushes my shit in even the bots. This fucker gets you against a wall and it's good night. If he lands a charged heavy, say in a gank, he gets a free knockdown AND free leaping heavy punish. You can dodge his kicks and punches but the timing eludes me. Since they can be charged or not or it can be a quick GB instead.

Had a match yesterday where someone quit against me while I was playing conq because I feinted one of his heavies.

He said that feinting wasn't possible and that I was lag switching.
