Welp, I've sprayed the shit out of the carburetor insides and forced some cleaner straight through both jets. It's back together but it's too dark already to install it back on the bike now. I have a bad feeling about this whole thing, the carburetor insides looked absolutely immaculate, and even the fuel mixture screw that I unplugged wasn't that much out of spec. I feel that I've accomplished nothing, but between this and air leak, which I did not find, I have no more clues as to why it ran so fucking lean.
At least I'll have an exposed mixture screw this time.

i'm guessing you are using a different octane rating system then. Are you in the US? US uses AKI. The pumps say: (R+M)/2 method

It'd be easier to say what hasn't been done to it. I think the only thing that is stock on it is the transmission, rear suspension, and frame. It used to have the stock headlight assembly but I lowsided into a ravine and completely trashed the front end.
It gets up to a terrifying 80mph though.

The SPIDI vest says you need to send it for inspection after 5 uses though but it's more for abrasion and puncture reasons.
