Kaedefags have been losing since forever, they've been conditioned to think that losing is normal, no matter how much they want to win, with them losing so much, losing is the natural result. Now, that there's a realistic chance of a Kaede victory it's perfectly reasonable for them to still not truly believe it and to think the possible win will be stolen one way or another. Why? Because they've always lost. Change, even a positive one, even the one you'd actually like, is hard to accept after you've been accustomed to a certain something for so so long.
