>no response
not even pushies can defend this
busriders who spend their time making awful threads on Veeky Forums about pushrods vs OHC
American v8s are like q-tips. the v8 is designed to move a lot of weight, preferably in a towing application (or transporting Texans). q-tips are designed for applying small amounts of stuff or wiping stuff from crevices.
instead, the truck motors are pushed as performance platforms and q-tips are used for digging in ears.
improper application is the only problem I see.
You're too young and poor to understand the awesomeness of OHV.
>2 rotor with no accessories
>3 cylinder engine
>an entire V8
Funnily enough, the first small block chevy was introduced in the corvette, the LS was introduced in the camaro, and the LT was introduced in the corvette. We actually use sports car engines in our trucks.
BTFO
>responding to bait this fucking obvious
This board deserves Alphonse.
What's the displacement of that Hartley? Power and weight are obviously going to depend on how insane of compression, timing, etc it runs, the entire reason to use pushrod is that per x displacement its much smaller, allowing for a nice torque curve in a small package. Most of the time oem cams are pretty tame, but to make big power you can put screamer cams in 'em. Just a different way or doing things. Oh, and this was all just for newfriends, people who've been around know exactly who you are.
lol
like 1.4
it makes as much power as an ls3
isnt the harley v8 2 hyabusa engines welded together?
yes, and it makes more power than an LS7
>is there anything worse than pushrods?
Objectively rotaries.
nope, rotaries are better than pushrod engines
Then why have they won le mans less ? why did they need a weight advantage given by officials for sucking?
pushrods have not been competitive in LeMans in more than 50 years
They have though. Ponaz raced in the 90s. Cadillac DPis could race if ACO allowed IMSA spec cars.
>They have though.
nope
>Ponaz raced in the 90s.
didn't win
>Cadillac DPis could race if ACO allowed IMSA spec cars.
so basically can't compete
thanks for proving my point
reminder mazda won the top category of LeMans in their first try, has a pushrod engine ever accomplished that?
>didn't win
They didn't think they sucked enough to be given a weight advantage. so basically even the racing officials thought pushrods were more competitive on their own than Rotaries.
Rotatory engines, they are less efficient consuming both higher amounts of oil and fuel while delivering less performance.
>mazda won the top category of LeMans in their first try
incorrect, they had fielded multiple rotary-powered prototypes before the 787B
lol, no it doesn't
>a rotary some guy got for his middle class old guy projects so he can ignore his dumbass wife
>An OHV some pajeet is putting in the moped trike his 12 yr old brides family gave as dowry
>A V8 being held by a burly cornfed young man, a perfect example of American muscle
What's the problem here....you're not implying that the V8 for a 2 ton car is somehow inferior because it's heavier than some moped/gocart engines are you? That would be such an autistic comparison that it can't even be argued without sounding like you have down syndrome. You probably *have* some kind of mental disability though.
read again, not in the top category
mazda has won lemans, chevrolet hasn't

nope, rotaries are better at racing than pushrods

Dorito engines
holy fuck pushrod fangirls are sperging hard in this thread lol
the 787 was a Group C car, as was the 787B
the 787B was the only one that managed to snag a win though
lol
it doesn't matter what group the 787 was because it was not raced at the top category of lemans, only the 787b was
>Wankel
Creepy smile old rapist
>OHC
Tired of life beta cuck
>Pushrod
Young and strong chad in his prime, full of life

except they both raced in the same category
>>hp/lb doesn't matter!!!
>the absolute state of pushrod cucks
That would make sense if you posted engines that were all viable choices to propel 2 ton wheeled vehicles at speeds up to 100 mph, as it stands all you posted is two lawnmower engines, a car engine, and a compelling argument for an autism diagnosis.
lol indeed, look at the poor pushrod fangirl can't stop samefagging in this thread
See and sperg more
Dance for me like the puppet you are
nope
you are going to have a hard time matching the hp/lb of a turbo rotary
Just report him for avatarfagging and watch the posts disappear you faggot
That would require us to have mods for more than 2 hours a week for it to work.
>M-mods! He's hurting my feelings!
thanks for letting me know, I will change my IP and erase my cache before the mods arrive
again, thanks a lot
Wow that really made me think..I guess I was blinded by nostalgic delusions about "murican mussel" and in reality Wankel engines simply outclass pushrod antiques in every possible way.
I wish my Mustang had an LS. If it did I wouldn't be in the middle of replacing timing chain guides that broke apart, messed up the chains, and clogged the oil pickup.
why, the modular is better
This, or just ignore it. He's just some poor Mexican that can't afford a car. You might give it a (you) out of pity, desu.
but I am not poor and I do have a car, unlike you???
>you are going to have a hard time matching the hp/lb of a turbo rotary
I never realized this before but it's all so clear now, the horsepower to weight ratio of a Wankel absolute proof of it's superiority, a Wankek the size of that V8 antique would absolutely outclass any Boomers V8 cuckmobile, Tbh it would probably have enough torque to tow the space shuttle to it's launch pad
glad you finally get it
lol this post caused a massive trigger
Actually, Rotatories and LS1 weight almost the same
>he belives this
LEL

There are dead cows that weigh as much as an ls, which one gets better HP though?

post a 302, 351 460 or FE big block faster than this modular
Cute trailer queen princess!
Must be sweet stopping for gas literally every 30 miles
BTFO
that car isn't powered by a 302, 351 460 or FE big block
try again
nope, all the cars of drag week are slower, and they are full blown door slammers
lol good work soviet
Those cars actually get respectable mpg's.
>that car isn't powered by a 302, 351 460 or FE big block
Because real men and women run bbc's. Where's the 3 second modulars at? Should be easy to make that power in somebody's garage if dohc is so superior, Right?
sperg more.
>3 second BBC
nice try, the fastest BBC is in the 5's, just like that modular, the rest are full blown blueprint engines
>Should be easy to make that power in somebody's garage if dohc is so superio
it did, until pushrodcucks got angry and decided to ban it, did you forget the cammer?
It must really suck to be you

umm, yes? read your history
the hemi also got BTFO at nascar

Friendly reminder that drag goes on
>race engine for 40 years
>fine tune everything for maximum power
>another engine from 40 years ago
>has stagnated in power for most of that time, no serious attempts to bring power up
the NHRA never B& the cammer the hemi was just a better platform for the way top fuel was moving
hotrod.com
yes they did, the NHRA limits the amount of camshafts to one
