I'm always scared to do anything in SFV, I feel like I'll just get crush countered by something and that'll be the round
so I usually just sit there and don't move much until they whiff something or do something super unsafe, but this doesn't really work well against even semi-smart players

Its the same for EU in every game, especially SFV. All EU trash play against themselves only and inflate their rank on the ladder. Its why shitters like ISDD and Brick are platinums in the top couple hundred - they play against EU players like themselves that fucking suck. tiers are pretty compressed in tekken but I guess gigas is kind of underwhelming

Bottom 5 used in May in Japanese arcades are Gigas, Master Raven, Kazumi, Shaheen and Akuma. In Korea Gigas, Feng, Master Raven, Katarina and Nina. It's hard to say who the less popular characters will be in your region but probably many of the newer characters. It's not like you never see those characters though.
