Daily reminder that Volvos are fucking tanks and will last longer than three generations of a family

Daily reminder that Volvos are fucking tanks and will last longer than three generations of a family

Daily reminder that you can literally own a 2008 luxury Volvo for around 5,000 burger bucks

>s40
>luxury
pick one. it's a mazda 3/ford focus in drag.

or you could get a 2010 luxury volvo with a v8 for 15k. or 10k with average miles

>buying a powerful car
I'm not 25 yet, insurance would be far too much in commiefornia, I got three more years left until I can get a more powerful engine

Sell me ur car i want it

Just boght a 2001 Volvo S60 for $2850. Needed a new vaccum booster which ran about $750.

Love this fucking car.

>Implying New "Volvos" are the same as VOLVOS

>bought an s40 for 7k when I was 16
>8 years later and the only thing I had to change was oil and filter

Posting cool volvos

...

...

>says the S40 is trash because its a mazda 3/ford focus
>drives the ford mondeo in drag

Your reasoning is retarded. Educate youtself about what car you drive you fucking moron

Really wanna get an old volvo. Commbloc cars are out of the question here in burgerland, so volvo seems like next best thing.

Daily reminder volvos are hideous and look like middle aged men who wear glasses and above knee shorts with sock-sandal combo drives them.

desu the s40 is shit.
Friend had one, the rear seat litearlly has your passengers knees in your back.
It's like a high trim ford or honda.

T. latte in one hand, cock in the other

Thoughts on the 2010-2014 S60 T6?
Seems like a decent alternative to a BMW 3-series without the douchiness.

Volvo interior is objectively shit. It looks the same from 2000 year. Material quality is great, but design is ugly.

Too bad there's 0 around me. Literally 2 volvos for less than 20k in a 100 mile radius from me and they're from before 2005

S40 = 3 series
S60 = 5 series

I had a 91 240 and absolutely loved it. Couldn't have been a better 'cruising' car for me at the time. Sold it with 308k miles on it.

>everyone will think I'm Ethan Klien
I can accept that

Daily reminder Volvo was bought out by the Chinese and is a soulless husk of its former self.

>volvos are tanks
>Posts fwd cars with curves.

I have never said this before on the chins, but

Kys

>Volvos are like tanks
Lol nope, Ladas are far more reliable than those pieces of shit

see user, the S/v tier volvos have this strange self destruction mechanism after 130k miles that starts- every single shit starts breaking, all the electrics etc. Esp for some reason happens in colder climates.

you only say so because this car is made in 2012.

No, my friend, these (Жигyли) were made all the way from 1982 to 2012. This particular one shown in the picture can also be VAZ 2103 (1300 s) since it has the chassis of a 2107 but has a engine from 2105. VAZ 2107 is also known as 1700.
I would rather get Lada since it's following the good old Soviet doctrine .Simple, cheap to maintenance and does effectively it what the particular machine was made to do.

>he still wears shorts below the knee

I bet they're jeans too

Old volvos were good, the one you're trying to shill (probably because you own a nu-Volvo) isn't.

>Volvo after 240
>Tanks
>Pick one
Kek
New ones die so start saving those burger bucks because your going to need them to fix it.
>After owning one I have realized even the 740 is a shit

>it's a mazda 3/ford focus in drag

Holy shit it's true. Why the fuck would anyone want a Volvo then?

>tfw no Volvo 242 for sale anywhere near me ;_;

>be american
>that simple, cheap car is turned into an expensive and complicated headache.

I like it, hate over complicated shit all over the dash, so the floating waterfall with all the shit in one place appeals to me

Pretry sure s40 are rated at 230hp, unless you bought one with the ferd 4pot, its pretty powerful for a first car

V8 or t6?

>tfw 22
>tfw 348 HP
>tfw 150 a month
sure feels good not living in Cali

you forgot
>shitty because nobody cares and the end users have no options

Because they look better than the mazda3/focus?
They are also more powerful than the same year mazda and ford cars with the same chassis

what car? also what state?

I feel like the 240 and 740 are massively improved with a Ford or Chevy V8 swap because from what I can gather most of the reliability problems are centered around the engine and if you're in the USA this effectively makes engine parts infinite and cheap.

Did they inherit the Mazda rust problems too

>1 owner 1985 740 Turbo 4 speed for sale ~2hr away
>owner says it sat for 4 years and now runs rough when he tried to drive it
>probably just bad gas or dirty injectors
>want it badly, but not in a position to buy a car that could need some work

Also the only factory manual V70R I've ever seen in the US is for sale not too far from me, but it needs a lot of work.
