Americans take Aussie car

>Americans take Aussie car
>cram huge motor in it
>400 hp in 2005
>intake/headers/tune bring a healthy 440ish from the crank
>walk away from mustangs camaros chads all day

Why don't you buy a muscle sleeper?

didn't the aussie version have the same V8 options?

Idk I thought it was a turbo v6 but I'm probably wrong

>that dull as fuck, uninspired, generic styling

Id look better on a bus.

I got the American sleeper sibling instead.

Id love a holden commodore but they're meme taxed to shit. Expect to pay 15,000$ for one

Well good thing you're already on one.

1st gen had either 3.8 supercharged V6 or 5.7 NA V8. Nobody bought the V6 so from 2nd gen onwards it was V8 only.

Ahahaha

My only question for the pontiac is

What did they mean by the front end?
Why did they take a good front end and ruin it?

Explain this... im still confused, why just change something thats already good and make it worse? what was the intention behind it?

were they aiming for a unique feel?

This is my only question when this topic gets discussed

I dont think anyone has ever answered this question for me hopefully someone can help in this thread

styling, would be cool if you could use these as a donor car to build something more elegant/cool

Because Pontiac had a "design language" and tried to incorporate it by changing the grill.

Because I'm poor. If I was in the market, which I may be soon, I'd get it or a WS6.

But I did

Honestly I like the Pontiac version a bit better, the wider mouth suits it IMO.

I'm not poor enough to own a Pontiac.

I prefer everything about the Monaro bumper cover except for the fogs, I like big ass round fuck you fog lights.

the cts v had a different chassis

Yeah. But still a ls2, 6 speed, and irs

>Australians not allowed to make cars anymore
>No more cheap large V6/V8 RWD sedans
Well at least we'll be able to import Jap shit like NZ.

Fuck V6's what about the i6

Chevy SS is more comprable

Because pontiacs usually have twin grills.

It let's people know it's a pontiac... It's almost like a pontiac trade mark for lack of a better term.

Man I really like GTOs, dream car is a 67.

But the fucking late models are holding value way too well to be worth buying. Just looked in my local area, still $13k for the cheapest one I could find and it was a 5.7.

this is very depressing

Why would I want an american car
Germany did everything better including a better muscle sedan

forgot pic

Get a 2005 or 2006 for $15k.

I looked up the prices for these...

I can't believe bogans are paying like more than 15k for these still...

why?

>Automatic only
>.1 second faster to 60
Dropped

They're fairly rare given they were imported and by a dying brand none the less. The US has a massive shortage of rwd manual and powerful cars that isn't a mustang/Camaro/Challenger or Corvette

It's not that they're not allowed, it's that their own government made it financially unviable.

Mining boom pushed the value of the AUD at least 30% higher then normal.

Dutch disease but with iron ore mostly instead of oil.

>tfw no Falcon XR6 Turbo

>15k for a commie
just get a 3k VT Calais, better interior
