I wanna ride but I'm lazy...

Hurry up with the godbike.

.

So i currently have an 03 WR450, 82 XL185, and 01 XR100R.
Should i sell 2 and use as down payment on FZ07?
Should i sell all 3 and use as down payment on FZ07?
Should i keep them all and just buy the FZ07?
Lately havent been doing as much dirt riding. But would likely want to keep one for dirt.
The Wr is dual purpose at ths moment but not freeway capable.
Hence wanting the FZ07.
How is the FZ07 at 80mph for LONG distances?

Did my own maintenance. I need to buy a fucking stand.

Peg vibes and wind. Get good gear and it's fine, but bad for carrying cargo because of its small size. Get the liter for touring.

More bikes more problems

I ordered a new steering stem and my head is being built, that's already paid for.

Next I need to buy cams and send them to the guy that's building my head so he can shim them for me. $350 later...

Why do you need 3 dirtbikes? Keep the most reliable, buy wheelie musheen with proceeds.
Or see if they make knobbies in FZ size. Buy a bashplate and treat it like a ujm.

Currently happy with Daytona, thinking about a WR450 for shitbiking, and maybe a 1090 adventure when I have more money
>4: your waifu
Don't really have one
>5: your experiences with helmet spiders
Never had one, I generally avoid leaving my helmet on the ground, and keep it in a bag over the winter.

The WR is mostly street.
The XL was a restoration project
The XR is just plain fun to thrash

How was the 525?

If your garage im mirin. Let me semibrag bby pls I brought home my second baiku just yesterday

I'm just jealous that you have a garage. I love living in a big city but the lack of garages if you don't drop at least 500k on a home is frustrating.

Part of me misses living in the Midwest where I could get a fucking whole house with a two car garage in a nice neighborhood for like $800/mo

I... I'm not a poorfag r... right guys? I have a European sportbike like the cool rich kids do...

Crossplane R1 is the best sounding I4, congrats.

Great motor, frame is a little floppy compared to the new stuff. had 460 hours on it when I sold it ( never cracked open ), leakdown test just before said it was still good to go. I'd found a deal on the WR450 so I offed the 525 real quick.

I realize there's the risk of locking a tire or losing traction, but some cruiser guy I know said it can ruin the seat and other shit but that sounds like BS.

Novice here, got my permit a week ago.
Can't stop riding, but I'm a little scared to ride in town.
(Also I don't have my driver's license yet oops)

Giving other bikers "the wave" is so fun and cool, I like to thumbs-up.
Does anyone else give their engine the beans whenever someone looks at you in admiration?

you might very well be the same guy but nigga until I see a dbt or wat sticker on one of those bikes or a timestamp addressed to dbt i'm going to assume they are forums pics
very nice pics though, i have nothing against dumping

Ct90 adventures is the only one worth watching

Thanks! Its my second R1, had a 1999 R1 a decade ago so still getting used to the crossplane tech. Your garage is race-ready for all occassions congrats, bikes look wellfed :^)

>inb4 chickestrip

Bought few months ago and summer here doesnt let me ride often

R6 on the track, RSV4 on the street. All are great to ride though. I4, V2, V4, all have a different feel.

what do you ride?

...well shoot, user. I half believed they might be yours and now I'm sorry I doubted you
nice fucking stable you got there

Is Sidecar TT racing officially the craziest fucking thing in the world?

>YBR125
What now, m8?

That's gonna sting.

The solo's are much faster but you gotta be crazy to hang your ass out like that at 160 mph

One rider, one Spider-Man. Riding at those speeds on a road track automatically makes you insane, sidecar or solo. Not being in control and just being human ballast is a special kind of fucking crazy.

it always looks so goofy but man, that's terrifying to think about just squatting on a little platform without even being able to hang on with your knees - and not even just being frozen in place but actually moving around for every corner

also mfw realizing i'm starting to recognize those corners because of the number of videos i've watched at this point. wonder if I'll ever see it in person / ride it.

Bug hit me right in the eyeball once.

Riding it on one of those amateur runs would be a blast but idk if you can rent a bike to race or if you'd be better off just buying a bike and then selling it when you leave.

This prefilter is a godsend

>falling for le ktm meme
You did this to yourself

Hey /dbt/, about to do an oil change myself for the first time.
Do I need a crush washer?
I'm going to be using a K&N oil filter.

Replacing it every time is a meme, replace it if it leaks or looks chewed up.

I know. I can just sand the current shims down with some sandpaper fo free, I just would rather not take the time :/

is that a shim and rocker combo?
>tfw doing your own rebuild

Buy new ones in case you need it but it probably won't need replaced

>is that a shim and rocker combo?
Looks like it. With the second balance shaft in this head already and the crazy single rocker setup I don't know why KTM didn't just go DOHC.

SOHC lighter, simpler, cheaper. negligible if any power gain from DOHC

they just wanted to be like honda with the unicam system. but forgot the part where you never have to maintain it

Thanks bros.

I almost test rode one of these.

>5: your experiences with helmet spiders
None, I'd probably just crash headfirst into a car/wall if I did.

I'm talking this head specifically, not DOHC in general. They already have 2/3 of a second shaft in the head, plus the rocker. Look at the picture.

I wish bikes would just come with hydraulic lash adjusters already.

>legendary unreliability
Not really, it's not a Ducati.

Not sure about the Indian ones but the 1290s have some serious issues with oil leaks and electronic failures on their rider aids

Backed a fucking minivan over my KLX last night in a sleep deprived stupor, rear passenger side tire of the van literally rode up and over the front forks, rear end of the van dropped down onto the handlebars bending half of the floor pan of the trunk upward like 8 inches, drove forward off of the bike grinding it under the rear bumper.

>Not a single broken plastic
>Not a single broken lever
>Not a single broken mirror or turn signal
>Minor scratches on front fender
>Fork alignment thrown out 3 inches

2 sockets, some black spray paint, and half an hour of work later it's good to go.

Damage to KLX = $0
Damage to van = $800+

Fucking hell are dirtbikes ever tough.

Dual port steel folded 1000 times

IDK about the LC8 but the LC4 platforms are considered very reliable.

...

Sell WR, keep the small dirt bikes. Or I guess it depends how sentimental you are towards the XL and how often you ride it.
My first few oil changes I didn't know I "needed" a crush washer, last change I bought a pack of 20 copper washers online, it was cheap. It might last me a lifetime of oil changes. You can also blowtorch them til they're red and let air cool. They'll be good as new.

I don't know why, but this situation left me with some good feels. Not sure why.
Any other anons instill the fear of the biker into some dickhead rando's?

Buying this parts bike to support mine for 150 shekels

Is there anything to be careful of when buying disassembled bikes/parts bikes? What about storing things like the engine for later use? Is it necessary for me to re-register it since its out of the dmv system?

look at me i forget pictures like a little faggot

Store everything someplace that isn't damp. No need to register it unless you want the ability to register a running bike with the frame later.

Are you not keeping your air filter spotless and seated well?

I have over 200 hours on my WR450 and the valves still haven't moved.

oh look, the reason why bikers are nearly universally despised

I forgot to oil my prefilter before my Arizona trip, I guess that could contribute to it.
