Does anyone know if I need a permit to get my class C if I've already have a Class M license for 4 years?
I literally cannot find the answer since Class M only licenses are apparently extremely rare so I have no fucking idea where I legally stand. I just want to get a class C tacked on to my existing license.
Adrian Howard
A kid pulled out in front of me and turned me into a hood ornament, destroying the forks on my 2000 Shadow VLX. His insurance just made me an offer: $2500 to walk away, or $1700 to keep the bike. I thiiiink the only damage is the forks, in theory I can swap on the forks or the whole triple tree from a bunch of other Hondas and a few other metric bikes. I'm torn as to what to do. This is the end of my second year riding and I love my Shadow, I've been able to pick it up from stupid shit and walk away. If the frame is fine, it maybe won't be hard to fix. I've got a truck and a car that need fixing up, and I could maybe quickly whip one of them into shape and ride them until winter when bikes are cheap again. I could even use the money to put a down payment on another bike, pick up a Shadow 750 or go test drive some Bonnevilles to see which one to hunt down. I want a survival bike at some point too. I just have a lot of emotional attachment to my bike and hate to see her thrown away.
James Walker
Lawyer the fuck up and let them handle it. There are long term effects on your body from even small crashes. Plus a lawyer could easily get you another 0 put on that amount.
Juan Baker
Is the bike worth more than 2500? Will it be totalled?
Isaac Martin
Both of those seems like you're getting ripped off
John King
you should not even be talking to his insurance company. i believe your people should be doing that.
Oliver Nguyen
You're a biker who was struck by a car that wad found to be in the wrong? Lmao this is like winning a small lottery payout if you're not a retard
Lucas Jackson
>80% chance rain >doesn't rain until I go to leave at 1 a.m
earth please
Benjamin Robinson
>got hit by a car while on a bike >offered $2500 Try $25000, or go bigger.
Jack Gonzalez
Im thinking of getting Suzuki DRZ 400s as my first bike, thoughts?
Anyone have experience with one on the highway?
Matthew Hall
How stupid is camping without a tent?
Lucas Kelly
It's not camping, that's just sleeping on the ground.
Carter Reyes
Its only stupid if youre pleb and cant build your own mudhut
Adam Martin
Think I'll just strap a tarp to my bike
Jeremiah Sanders
Just dont
Joseph Watson
Just picked up a new all season jacket to replace the old Rallye 3. Price is pretty steep at $1k, but so far it's a substantial upgrade and branding has been toned down big time
Liam Lee
w-why
Carson Gonzalez
WTF grandpa gear is expensive.
Jack Evans
1. Its a shitty bike 2. Its underpowered (especially for freeway 3. Its heavy as fuck 4. Its got terrible suspension 5. Its outdated 6. Likely over priced because meme status 7. Will break down constantly
Parker Rodriguez
For $1k it better transform into a big titted slut, suck me off and make me brekfast
Benjamin Jenkins
>bmw Islam please go
Carter Edwards
>wtf bmw anything is overpriced Ftfy
Oliver Perez
Yeah. What's wrong with a regular touring/adv kit? (Enjoy the picture I post everyday to remind myself to pay credit cards instead of going to the bar.)
Jordan King
Not even 300 munnies Any functioning adult could swing that extra cash
Brody Reyes
What dual sports should I be looking out for then?
Anthony Long
>1. Its a shitty bike it's not bad >2. Its underpowered (especially for freeway it will do highway speed, it can overtake at highway speed, it is not really underpowered for what it is >3. Its heavy as fuck it is far from 'heavy as fuck' >4. Its got terrible suspension the suspension is just average, it's not really terrible >5. Its outdated why fix what isn't broken. easy parts available >6. Likely over priced because meme status very true >7. Will break down constantly not if you maintain it properly, it is still a dirt bike after all and people treat maintenance as if it's an understressed 90s street bike
it's a fine bike to start on. you will get a lot of fun out of it. it isn't an enduro or mx bike but it is definitely plenty capable off road pretty much in any conditions. if it is priced fairly and you're prepared to do some work on it if you are unsure on its history then i say get it
Logan Jackson
XT600 XR400 XR650 XR600
Cooper Sullivan
But traps arnt even gay
Hudson Cox
>buy nice boots for $280 on closeout >not too bad off the bike, yeah this was a good idea >get on the bike >completely unable to shift and pivot weight quickly >feels like im relearning how to ride
Mason Johnson
DRZ is fine but you pay a meme tax This is pretty much godlist of dual sports Add DR350, XT350, and KLR250 XT350 has dual carbs though so it's extra effort to work on XR250L's aren't bad either I ride a DR350 and its pretty much the perfect starter bike. No bullshit to deal with, simple to work on, reliable, good power
Joseph Wright
what boots? i've heard with new mx boots if you've never worn them take getting used to
Easton Thomas
alpinestars smx plus
Ian Brown
Fuck Yeah 2wd drive!!!
Samuel Allen
...
Jacob Wilson
I dont have much to choose from around here, at least on craigs list. The DRZ is going for about 2.3k and its the only dual sport around here that isnt too high powered for me to handle starting out.
Theres an XT225 and 250 near me and thats about
Benjamin Kelly
Yeah they are
Benjamin Perez
Reverse traps aren't. They look like what they are, so you can't fall into a trap.
Brandon Kelly
Trap user is that you?
Post new pics pls
Kayden Lee
...
Easton Sullivan
Roids are so bad for your skin
Cooper Sanchez
DRZ for 2.3k isn't too bad, depends on the miles though. If you're mainly riding street, XT250 would be the minimum you'd want. XT225's are featherweight dual sports best for trail riding. Buying bikes off craigslist can be a long waiting game. It was about 3 months of searching for me to find the bike I ended up buying. Good luck
Not one for motovloggers but this dude gets in some high speed chase with a hit and runner, pretty dope.
Samuel Moore
Halfway through the learners course in Victoria. We have really good instructors, so I'm learning heaps and can feel my self riding better. But the way they showed us to slow ride was by riding the clutch and using the rear break to adjust speed. It worked really well, but is it the best way? I know the clutch can take a lot of punishment, but it still feels wrong.
Evan Parker
Trap user has nice skin and a twink ass, that ain't him (her).
See the red cover? That hides a second chain, which is mounted to a driveshaft that runs through the frame, towards the steering unit. In there is a bevel drive (like Ducati used to have for their cams), which sends power down through the two black tubes running parallel to each of the forks. They then send power directly to the front wheel through a hub, like you usually have with shaft-driven bikes, except now there's two (pretty small) input shafts.
wow, thats pretty wild. thanks for explaining that. have this rare pepe
Thomas Green
Anyone has a KTM motorcycle? I want to talk about their reliability.
Ethan Williams
Which color should my new MT 09 be?
Black, Night Fluo or Blue?
Evan Mitchell
Night Fluo of course
Joshua Taylor
Black or blue, the fluo wheels are way too hard to keep looking clean.
Jordan Reyes
Think I'll go wash my bike. It rained for 30 seconds yesterday which was just enough to let individual drops hit the surfaces and dry there and leave a nice pattern of shit. I tried removing some engine grease on the outside with WD40, that part looks "better" now.
the struggle is real
Isaac Powell
>Rainy rides edition >ride in pouring rain for the first time in a while >remember some faggot overlords on /dbt/ saying it's not fun to ride in the rain >have a hearty chuckle and keep enjoying it riding in the rain is even better than riding on hot weather tbqh with you my friendos
Liam Lee
Depends on the temperature and how long you're riding for. 2+ hours soaked through with no feeling in you hands is shitty, no matter how hard to want to act.
Robert Jones
Cant decide between ZX9R or RSV mille as my next bike. Thoughts? >That colour scheme tho!
Nathan Rivera
seems like you have to get proper gear
Josiah White
>coloring your chain how did I not think of that
Elijah Williams
I'd 100% go for the rsv, can't beat that torque.
Thomas Moore
Aprilia has a green livery too! And once you try the V It's just too good
Nolan Thompson
>tfw I found out that my tyres are 10+ years old I really want to practice my slow riding skills in the parking lot but I'm poor right now and can't afford new tyres.
Grayson Green
if someone pulled, say +170kmh on 70kmh area and cops went by, what are the ods that the cops got the plate and if they did when would they contact the speeder?
Landon King
Was kinda set on rsv, but the zx9r with those colours is just too sexy.. Guess ill have to try them both
Gavin Barnes
Go for the V. Mille is a great bike and the engine is a gem. And it loves to hoist up wheelies. Friend of mine just put his up on consignment since he's an old cripple now...
David Phillips
I don't know about your country but here bikers are considered not worth the hassle
Yesterday I probably got filmed doing 80 in a 50 but lolnofrontlicenseplate. I did 140 in a 70 but didn't see any camera crews
Leo Richardson
>see a fast car >get into a short street race >miss second, hit neutral >oh shit >clutch-in shift to second >short wheelie >death wobble >go 100 in a 30 and chicken out when a construction zone appears
Jaxon Hill
>red light >naked appears next to me >doesn't respond to thumbs up >he does a perfect start, weaves effortlessly through traffic >I manage to filter once and chicken out
Isaac Cook
but if the cops somehow did get the plate of a motorcycle going past them in opposing direction almost 200kmh surely they wud right away contact the owner no? at least by the 2nd day?
Isaiah Ross
can't help with your problem but >go 50km/h in a 30 zone >notice a bright red flash (germany) >panic and slow down >remember no license plate in the front >speed up again >never get mail cuckcagers will never understand
Jason Edwards
heh, amateurs >passes you and doesn't wave
Hunter Bailey
Not necessarily. Most highway patrol are alpha cars (one driver). Contacting you means turning up at your residence, which means two cops in attendance. They have to factor rostering in, so might be a week or so before they rock up to question you and/or charge you.
They'll turn up same day if you run from them because that's protocol for a police pursuit, but if it's just about the speed could be longer.
Dominic Brown
No idea about your laws but here the time limit is 2 years. Friend's company got a citation for speeding from a neighboring country one year after the fact.
Nathan Hernandez
even so the police still has to prove it was that specific person riding it
and the owner has no lawful requirement to provide any info who was riding it
>wears proper gear >exhibitionist >nice tits and ass >french >qt
>RIDE A KAWASAKI
IN THE TRASH IT GOES
Jason Cruz
>and the owner has no lawful requirement to provide any info who was riding it
Depends on where you live and what the local laws are. Here, for instance, operator onus: whoever is the registered owner is deemed to be responsible for the vehicle and therefor deemed to be the driver/rider, unless they make a statutory declaration that another person was the responsible party.
So, you don't have a duty to nominate who did it, but you are getting the ticket yourself unless you do.
Mason Myers
I have seen a couple of her videos already only because I enjoy her motorcycle vlog of course
wish she had longer hair
it's not far from here, I should visit/stalk her sometime we even ride the same bike
Ryan Diaz
>buy helmet online >on long rides it hurts a lot >probably too small >too late to send it back and it was expensive so I keep it for short rides >notice that it does not actually hurt because it's too small after a while >the cushion is shit and too thin >take it out and put an old wool sock inbetween >werks like a charm and feels really good on my head now thanks mama for knitting me those socks much love your boy
Juan Morgan
How does the ergos of the Aprilia compare to the kawa for touring? Im currently riding a kawa zzr600, i have no problem doing 6-8 hour trips a day
Gavin Campbell
>supernaked vs supersport Rearset will feel the same, bars will be wider and taller
Ghost rider 666 Well all the ghostrider DVDs really It's pretty much why I got into bikes and cars
Carter Baker
Love this shit >100 in a 70 >spot police with speed trap pointed down off motorway bridge too late >blast past bridge, they can't get to the other side in time to see my rear plate >never got a ticket
