Last site freeze was when there was some "syrian war revelation" kerbshit on, you guessed it, /pol/
It's clear as day that they are to blame for the site freeze, likely for that synth dick robbery bullcrap or whatever the fuck he was called.
Anthony Gutierrez
There's always some "syrian war revelation" shit on /pol/. Also, stop shitting up /egg/ with your retarded conspiracy theories.
Lincoln Scott
Yes but when by throwing shit at the wall they manage by pure fucking chance to say the correct stuff then the whole security apparatus loses it's collective shit and goes full Madagascar as they try to clamp an (unexistent) intel leak.
Ayden Myers
They're not even conspiracy theories. Those are fun to listen to, like the flat earthers.
Nolan Edwards
You're retarded. If some security organization tried to shut down /pol/ to delete some information, I can guaran-fucking-tee you that every /pol/ user would make it their personal mission to spread that information as far as humanly possible.
They'd only be shooting themselves in the foot. Have you ever heard of the Streisand Effect?
Lucas Lopez
Thankfully the sheer torrent of shit on /pol/ makes it difficult to discern (for the /pol/tards) what exactly caused the block. Meaning it could be a stray post saying that Podestà will be doing 5kg of coke and pound a 5y/o butt to death or "Hillary is totally a reptiloid from the 5th star nearest to the supermassive black hole in the Andromeda galaxy"
Blake Watson
>kerbshit
what did he mean by this?
Tyler Thompson
here we go.
Angel Williams
Last time Veeky Forums shit itself a bunch of morons were clamoring on about how the outage was caused by some pictures of aliens supposedly posted on /pol/. Miracoulously, no one managed to save them to no proof of this actually exists, just as no proof of your claim exists either. How the fuck is your bullshit any better than alien conspiracy theorists?
Better yet, don't answer that. We don't need any more "/pol/ is the root of all evil" shit in a fucking video game general thread. Just fuck off already.
Christopher Cooper
>report option does not work deploying emergency webms to derail derailment
Isaiah Lopez
And that's exactly what i'm talking about. Heck, you can make it a false rumor too to hide what it actually was.

>It's single handedly their fault the site is now flooded with newfags and redditors But at least /egg/ doesn't get newfags, right?
Nathan Bennett
No. This shit has been going on ever since moot got on cloudflare. It used to happen twice a fucking month. You are off your fucking rocker, even /pol/ can come up with more than a fucking coincidence to back up their theories. The Feds are not shutting down Veeky Forums. They have literally never done this. And if the deep state were trying to shut down Veeky Forums over the Seth Rich findings it would have happened YESTERDAY.
Justin Rivera
tfw kerbniggers have taken over this thread

This thread is for engineering and the gassing of engineering-related entities. Fuck off otherwise.
Kevin Gonzalez
Where did i say "deep state"? You are the tinfoil hat /pol/cuck if anything. And the feds have been balls deep within Veeky Forums since the day CP was posted on it, that's to say barely a year after it's conception.

To the spark gap retard. They were and an be used to disable analog radio communications. You would not be able to hear what someone is saying or decrease the quality of the signal. But 2 things: >A drone isn't controled using analog signals, and digital signals have a much much much greater reliability and resistance to noise and data loss/corruption >a spark gap generates little noise on a big ass spectrum and the drone uses a tiny liny piece of that spectrum to talk, you'd waste tons of power to make a bit to MAYBE miscarry, that's stupid. Electronic warfare, even sandnigger, jury rigged sandnigger shit does not work like that. If we were back in 1910 and you want to stop point A from being heard by point B you can do that, but to disable a complex digital control system from working? Nope.
Luke Gray
Then what exactly? Making something that shit up those frequencies?
Gabriel Howard
and can be used to*
How basic electronics and physics can be misundestood or applied by americans is simply baffling.
Alexander Powell
Not american. And i'll be frank, it being super secret stuff doesn't help. My biggest experience with it is in CMANO and as far as i understand it is >bring a Growler to make SAM shit the bed
Luke Hill
Holy shit nigger, you are using your brain for the first time. But then the nigger with his frequency jammed moves a bit his frequency. You hear that and move your jamming frequency. The operator hand gets tired after a while and they make a system which changes frequency in organized, pre determined steps, almost code-like. You, after hearing a while notices a pattern and attack the frequencies he will use just as he changes. He notices this and makes a complete random frequency automatic changer, and bang you got frequency hopping. And the game goes on And the problem with broad spectrum is that the guy being jammed can simply turn the power up and hope to be heard, and in a shit way such as spark gaps that will work just as fine.
Jackson Torres
It doesn't matter, being secret or not. You can just know what they'll need to make it work, but not how those things work. It's electronics and physics, not occult magic >my main source of electronic knowledge is a video game If it were Shenzen at least..

>If we were back in 1910 and you want to stop point A from being heard by point B you can do that, but to disable a complex digital control system from working? I'm not even remotely literate in electronics (let alone communication between devices), but wouldn't a drone (point B) be very reliant on "hearing" commands from point A? My experience with wi-fi is that connection quality in a given area decreases drastically as the number of hotspots increases.
Henry Hughes
How can he discern that from jamming attempts? With wifi for example, it's usually centered arround 802.11, you can disobey inter-frame spacing rules and messages to make the channel look continuously busy.

Trying to jam communications by injecting garbage into it assumes that the enemy uses the same frequency all the time. Even 802.11b lets you choose from 14 center frequencies, although the bands overlap quite a lot.
Also, nobody is going to design their drones to skynet the instant they stop receiving command frames. There have been drones built that will fly the entire bombing run autonomously except for actually releasing the munitions.

user you are confused, this is /egg/, not /fog/
MO2 was made for fo4, works perfectly fine, and I would recommend manufacturing extended, but the reason why the modding community is so ded is a combination of fo4 being shite and consolefags being niggers.

Starmades new powersystem will kill the game even more dead than it already is.
Like jesus fuck the new system proposed is awful.
If they thought new players hated their game before, wait till they get told about the new system they have to build into every ship, and how shit has to be a certain distance apart, and they need to physical build skill trees into their ship.
Its like WHAT???????????????????????????
Gavin Thompson
Reality already has the best system. Space lacks convection cooling. Ships generate heat and removing heat isn't necessarily easy because of square/cube law.
Small ships can easily run hot components and cool off to continue running at 100%. This means small ships get to have very efficient systems to make them viable. Huge ships must dump heat into fragile cooling fins or carry a cheap abundant coolant (ice) to dunk excess heat from their overdrive. This secondary system dramatically increases the mass required for upkeep without firepower scaling to extremes. Once the coolant burns up, they're fucked.
Fin designs actually increase efficiency and ship design is less about death cube (which has the worst cooling) and more about balancing your ship's power against its limitations.
Evan Morgan
holy shit, you guys are fucking horrible, pls read more before going on such escapades this faggot also has 0 clue about inner workings of 802.11b(g/n/e) attacks and interference tactics, but he at least knows that a) memory in drones exists, b) you can use it, c)wifi has channels, d) they don't always interfere, although most of the time you can get 70-80% interferencing being on a neighbouring channel.
inb4 >you tell something smart spark gap would not work, because it would not be feasible (as mentioned power and broad spectrum), to the guy going against them: what are emps? and if you wanna tell me about shielding: how are you gonna shield the antenna? on top of that: what are directional antennas, if you wanna interfere/burn target you don't have to broadcast that shit hacking those shits is probably easier than simply interfering (if you wanna leave the antenna/electronics intact), yea there are gonna be crypto challenges, but it ain't rokkit or nuclear sciens. I have no clue where any of you fugs got >it's secret frequency hopping is used as normal mode of operation: not because of enemy activity, just to increase possible throughput of spectrum frequency hopping can't be predicted THAT easily, read up on cognitive radio (as a start). the "operator will change frequency by hand" is pure retardation, even if you meant it as a simplification for clarity. only problem would be capturing drone/control communication, but that's why you sniff packets near the command centre, not the flying drone inb4 laz0r or satellite communication: if it's hard to capture because of transportation method you are gonna get fucked by weather, if it's not it's easily hearable by hackers on top of that: most droniet strikes are done by usa and all of you fugs don't see the weak spot, it ain't the drone, the signal, the encoding it's firewall in control centre

u have'n a laff dere m8? Just where the fuck did you come from?
Thomas Harris
Let's look at some fake numbers for a heat based system. We are assuming the square cube law lets ships grow at the cube while their sustained energy output can only grow at the square.
Tiny ship > 9 mass > 4 cooling power Pew pew! A tiny mass with huge cooling means insane agility and reckless disregard for weapon efficiency. Since it builds up heat as fast as it dunks it the best option is to get close, open fire and never stop.
Medium ship > 512 mass > 64 cooling power You get nice options all around. This ship can run a reasonable shield system while still having spare energy for weapons and engines. It would likely fight by charging in, throw everything it has at the enemy, and fly away to cool off/recharge. Lots of options could easily make this a player favorite.
Large ship > 8000 mass > 400 cooling power Even if you put everything into engines, 400 power against 8k mass is a paltry 1:20 engine to thrust ratio leaving this ship awfully slow. It can mount heavy shields but go too ham and they could overheat the ship before it even enters battle. This kind of ship needs to put its trust into thick armor and some combination of consumable coolant for a heavy hitting battleship or strike craft for a carrier type of ship. Granted you could pump out a LOT of death before running dry.
Benjamin Wilson
>m-m-m-muh n word >retard isn't politically correct ok guys?
Get off the internet lad, it's gotta be bedtime soon
Mason Williams
What are you on about? The new proposal is pretty great and simple. Much better than "muh reactor dimensions" which has you building retarded looking reactors. Not to mention the current system still limits you anyways in total power.
Also a physical skill tree is a much better option than anything else. The game is about building ships, not leveling up them or your character. It balances out larger ships, potentially giving them special aura bonuses as flagships or super jump capabilities as a carrier.
The new system does need to allow multiple reactors at the same time though.
You know those scenes in magic-based fighting anime, where one person makes a gigantic dramatic-looking surge of 'light arrows' or whatever with the camera zoomed out? I imagine this thing firing all weapons would look similar, but with a small explosion caused by the chopper fucking dying
Zachary Kelly
Is this one of the new Bradleys?

theres some space on each side of the absurdly oversized belly gun that isn't covered with weapons. the only logical conclusion is that some kind of landing skids are retracted into bays and are deployed when this thing is done killing a country.

Has anyone here had experience with building an extracelestial base in KSP? What would be the best course of action for delivering something like pic related to the surface of the Mun, ideally with as few explosions as possible?
Evan Williams
KSP doesn't go here, you have the wrong general
Jose Taylor
I looked for a KSP general, doesn't seem that one has been made, so I figured this is the next relevant place, considering that KSP is in some way an engineering game.
Jack Long
/kspg/ is in /trash/
Owen Stewart
Just checked, there's no thread there.
Kayden Garcia
it had a general once, the people in it and the devs of the game were so inconceivably bad at being humans that it got banned from the internet. no ksp can be posted on Veeky Forums, there is no general for you.
you might like robbaz's ksp vids, he's the only good thing connected to that game
Tyler Brown
It still doesn't go here
Eli Brown
Then make it. /kspg/ is banned, by name, from Veeky Forums for a reason and you can blame them for it.
Isaac Thompson
Robbaz is fucking awesome, I second this guys suggestion.
Xavier Jenkins
There used to be a general, then it was banned because of the posters. Now please leave before you get us banned too
Carson Fisher
You're best bet for a mun base with that design is to throw a docking port on one side and put it vertically on a rocket and launch it into orbit. You can then either have a dedicated tow craft or you can attach one to it as part of the entire rocket before you launch Apollo style.
Oliver Baker
I'm skeptical that a couple of dumbasses can get an entire topic banned from Veeky Forums of all places, but I'll take your words for it. Thanks for the suggestions.
Liam Ross
I'm sure the mods were just as surprised as you, which is why they took such drastic measures.
James Carter
I hadn't heard of it being banned, but /kspg/ was legitimately one of the worst generals ever on Veeky Forums
Josiah Johnson
>decide to start a new Factorio world >trees everywhere, decide to try again >trees >trees >trees >mixed ore patches >trees Guess I need to start using the resource spawn mod.
Easton Miller
They actually did which is the shitty part.
It's not officially "banned" but anything (game name here) related autosages the thread and posts about it get removed A LOT.
It's kinda bullshit because the mods and janitors are taking it a little far and I think there is more controversy behind it than just getting rid of shitposts, on the other hand it was a pretty bad general.
Carter Watson
>It's not officially "banned" but anything (game name here) related autosages the thread That's completely retarded if true. It could be used to cripple this entire board if gotten into the hands of shitposters or bots.
Thomas Collins
It was an extreme case requiring an extreme measure. Ban evasion was like breathing to /kspg/ posters.
Ian Parker
It only autosages if the OP has it, commenting the name of that game does nothing to thread except attract the mods.
Asher Howard
It only autosages the post, not the entire thread is what I meant, unless the OP contains that 4 letter initialism, in which case it does autosage the thread. At least as far as I know.
Anthony Nguyen
resource spawner overhaul doesn't affect the spawn. that always has one patch of everything you need, though they can overlap which is really annoying. honestly if they just made it so resource patches can't spawn on top of each other that'd be a sufficient fix. maybe a tree density slider too, and an option to force the spawn to be desert or grasslands.
Levi Martinez
>not downloading the indestructible trees mod and becoming one with nature
Jason Cooper
I was looking at RSO earlier and there is an option to reduce trees on top of ore. But yeah, the default algorithm needs to change, or at the very least they need to add tree generation options. >indestructible trees Fuck that
