From what I recall from graxx dude posting here, there are heavy restrictions that DE puts on people in the workshop so that everything is just essentially a reskin of the same model, only helmets can be different and even then they will nitpick and get you to remove little things

1. you are severely overestimating Maim's damage vs. armored units

2. you are completely ignoring stored damage is not 100% and falls off with distance

3. the irony here is, of course, that PM has higher range than Maim

show me a webm of Maim like in pic related against 20 lv100 frontier hellions (or similar grineer units). I'm not expecting you to beat Mesa's TTK because that's not possible. I'm not even expecting you to come close. Nonetheless it will serve to demonstrate just how much PM outclasses Maim when it comes to armored units

PM is so strong that its sheer range and damage output more than makes up for its LOS requirement.
