At first I regret picking Tharja in the gauntlet (she was the only character that I got from all the eight) due to the new 3x mechanic but in the end it really turned out great.

I just used flags every time Tharja hit 3x (four times per round) and then used every single flag in the last rounds. The overall score suffers from the fact that you have way less 3x events but overall I still got about 15k feathers. I'll probably do the same during the next gauntlet unless they get rid of the 3x system. Wouldn't blame them honestly.

Uh, I think you lumped in the feathers from the arena. Anyway I believe that the total amount of feathers you could get was about the same whether or not you were on the losing side, ISIS must have balanced it out in order to make people actually fight for their favorite character.

Xander is a horse though, which grants him access to horse buffs. He gets an easy +10Atk+Spd whereas getting +8 Attack on an infantry is a considerable investment before you factor in any speed buffs.

Only his HP is inflated. Just slap Fury and Desperation on him if you want to use him. 51 (+2) atk and 39 (+2) spd is nothing to sneeze at.

If MaRobin can survive an attack and kill the blue mage then I should be all good since he has TA3 to just ruin that bow knights day.
