Why is Chevy so far behind the curve?
The new NSX has a mid mounted TT V6 with electric motors, and looks extremely modern. The new Ford GT has a carbon frame and a mid mounted TT V6, sharing the beautiful and modern design cues that the NSX, 458 Italia, and other forward cars have. The GT-R is faster than the Corvette with a TT V6. The new GT350 has a flat-plane crank, meaning it will sound much better than the Corvette, and is just a better piece of engineering overall.
All of these cars look much better than the overdesigned, childish extrerior of the C7. The oversized belled quad exhaust tips, the ugly hexagonal brake lights, and everything else is just on another level below the current design language that other modern sports cars wear.
Why are there so many Corvette fans on Veeky Forums? It's such an inferior, cheap, and dated piece of engineering compared to other modern sports car.

Not a GM fanboi but the LS series of engines is way awesome. The thing is most Chevy bois are retarded and don't understand that the LS family isn't limited to the LS1,2,3,6,7, etc. You can tell someone you want to do an LQ9 swap on a 92 Camaro and they're like hurr durr why not LS bro so much faster bro. If you Google twin turbo LM7 there's an article on a junkyard long block, that had 167k on it, that these guys honed, and re gapped the rings on, and made 1300 hp with it on the tired, stock bottom end. I'd be pissed off if GM tried to innovate and come up with some "better" v8. If it ain't broke don't fix it. I'd like to add that the LM7 can be had for about 500 bucks on Egay. The 6.0 LQ9 will be more like 1,200. That's pretty god damn cheap for the reliability and power. And I'm a Honda guy more than anything, so nobody can cry about a bias.
