If i pull a scientist out of every job will he still die?

>Trying to find ANYTHING to colonize in ES2

>Huge Steppes (Inhospitable)
>Small Savannah (Inhospitable)
>Large Gas (Inhospitable)
>(Inhospitable) (Inhospitable)
>Suddenly get contacted by another empire
>Cravers are in my constellation

Have you tried researching? And remember to git gud.

Edgiest thing that you have done in-game?

>turn terra into a gaia world
>it's no longer terra
Thanks Paracucks.

>terraforms a planet
>gets surprised when its terra is formed differently

The animations for colonizing planets are nice

if anything, colonizing was made easier. You can get colonization techs from multiple branches, while previously it was all crammed in the science branch and all the most common planets were in eras 3-4

Yelled "fucking negro" while playing Hotline Miami.

>a craver will never be your lifting buddy

OH SHIT LADS, IT KEEPS HAPPENING!
Games2Gether got updated to beta!

Terra is one of the only unique planets, why would it not have a gaia skin?

>a craver will never lift you

How do i defeat the prethoryn? Tachyon + Plasma on everything?

Is that ES trailer they showed during the stream uploaded anywhere yet?
Don't see it on YouTube.

Isn't it one of those in the op of this thread?
Apparently there was a review embargo. It dropped.

No, different one.

Well, anyone know? Do i need armor against the Prethoryn?

spam anti-armor and you're good

I don't agree with the people saying combat is a step backwards.
I hated the ES1 cards and I hated the system in general after the updates, and EL combat isn't "fun" it's just a way of adding "depth" to what otherwise is a fairly shallow combat system. The depth to ES2 combat is in designing your ships so that they synergize in a fleet. It's kept at a higher level than ES1 even before they changed it and the game is better for that. It's a strategy game, not a strategy game trying to be a half assed battlefleet gothic armada.

What about armor, should I go full armor, shields or mixed defenses?

You need shields
Both agaist Prethoryn and Unbidden because they have anti matter weapons
Prethoryn ships are heavy armored poor shielded
Unbidden have no armor but lots of shields

So I literally didnt know ES2 was out till today...

Should I buy or pirate a trial version

It's completely worth a buy as long as you're not looking for tactical real time combat. Stellaris is a mile wide but an inch deep. ES2 is half a mile wide but a mile deep. There's a lot more strategy involved down to tech choices and progression.

This should work eh?

I am a huge Amplitude fan and I still say pirate first just to be sure. Their games aren't always for everyone.

cities skylines is 75% off on humble bundle for the spring sale

>There are people in this thread who aren't Horatio

Is it gay if it's Horatio?

NOW NEITHER OF US WILL BE VIRGINS

OMG ES2 CAME OUT A DAY EARLY

I MUST GO PLAY IT

>Make Horatio great again.
as if he wasn't already great

>Moral Warnings: Some tactical-styled RPG violence; use of magic including some darker things like human sacrifices; some minor pieces of revealing clothing.

Game Score - 80%
Gameplay - 16/20
Graphics - 9/10
Sound - 8/10
Stability - 4/5
Controls - 3/5

Morality Score - 81%
Violence - 7/10

Occult/Supernatural - 6.5/10
Cultural/Moral/Ethical - 7/10

>In conclusion, Endless Legend is a very solid civilization builder game. The game has a very unique fantasy setting with big differences between the different playable factions. Morally, the game is pretty solid with the main questionable content being its use of different magics, but the biggest reason for not getting this for a young kid being all of the information that has to be digested at one time. Overall, I’d say if you are interested in this genre of game and like a unique fantasy setting, you should probably check this game out.

My sides are in orbit. Because it really is an accurate and good review. I wonder if they will do one of ES2.

Where you got ES2?
Only found EA shit

>Sophons
How can one race look so pathetic?

Heard you talking shit, like I wouldn't find out

That's basically that site's whole thing. That's why they have separate game and morality scores, so they can do an objective analysis without bias, while still getting their good boy points for criticizing its 'unchristian' elements.

No number of giant robots will make up for the way you look like tiny, emaciated alien children.

They would hate Bloodrayne, Hotline Miami and The New Order.
Decent games, but horrible worlds.

Steam.

Just joined a federation, what's the deal with all the (Federation) ships I can build? Is there an advantage to building them instead of normal ships?

christcenteredgamer.com/index.php/reviews/pc-mac/6502-brutal-legend-pc
Moral Warnings: Heavy Metal equals Heavy amounts of demonic symbolism in this game. You'll have blood and f bombs up the wazoo but you can censor things

Game Score - 68%
Gameplay - 10/20
Graphics - 7/10
Sound - 7/10
Stability - 5/5
Controls - 5/5

Morality Score - 18%
Violence - 1/10
Language - 3/10
Sexual Content - 5/10
Occult/Supernatural - 0/10
Cultural/Moral/Ethical - 0/10

Seems objective to me. But the one for Total Warhammer is hilarious. The author is obviously an elegan/tg/entleman.

>citizen republic
>recruit curator scientist
>the next election he shows up as the ONLY choice
Is this bugged or did I just get cucked?

Of course.

You know, I expected an insane amount of autism and biggotry, but they're alright. They try to make a difference between their subjective opinions and the objective review of the game. It's to be praised, really.
If I had a kid, I would bookmark that website.

From what I understand Federation ships are not restricted by an empire's normal Fleet Size but are only ever under the control of the current leader of the federation.
Fedesation ships can also be built with the best technology from the most technologycally advanced members of the federation.

Auto-generated ship designs that use the most advanced parts from all the federation research pooled together (often shit loadouts just like a real AI, with disruptors and missiles up the ass, armor on corvettes etc)
All federation members give 20% of their fleet cap towards this "federation cap" of how many (((Federation))) ships can be made
They cost no upkeep
Only the federation president can control them

Basically, another one of those things that you never use because you can't trust the AI to perform even basically

It sounds like a neat idea.

You know what else sounds like a neat idea

Sectors

How's the late game in Civ VI? How are the nukes? Can you make a proper apocalyptic nuclear war happen?

There's no late game because you can conquer the world before getting to the modern era, regardless of difficulty and map size.

is stellaris a good entry point into the genre?
interested because its only $12 at the moment

Not really. It won't be good for at least 2 years, because Stellaris' developper is Paradox Plaza, who's infamous for releasing bare-boned games needing a lot of updates and 6 DLCs (all decently priced) to be really fun.

For an introduction to space games, try Sins of Solar Empires : Rebellion.
It's a RTS with some Grand elements, it'll be a nice and slow introduction to grand games. Plus it can be modded.

Is it me or is there a lot less strategic resources in 1.6?

>Endless Space 2 1.0 finally out
>launch it
>new menu music
>mfw

I just like how the previous music was a "early acces" version of the one in the final game

I second this

But beware, the AI is ruthless.

It used to be almost melancholic before, now the chorus kicks in and I have an erection.

At least the AI in Rebellion is easy in easy. The AI in Endless Space pretty much traumatized me.

no, your getting blessed. A curator getting elected means you can recruit another one and when the terms over you can then use both.

>The AI in Endless Space pretty much traumatized me.
Is this you?

Can you change government as cravers and play as a peaceful faction?

>not a single autist enclave in the whole galaxy
How the fuck am I supposed to generate unity now?

No their inability to make peace or alliances is a race feat not because of their governement

No. I haven't posted outside of Veeky Forums for years now.

For years... Shit, how time flies.

Yes.

I would say enslaving a pre-FTL civilization and using implants to remove their free will so they can work with machines they can't even comprehend to make my empire more powerful is pretty edgy.
Especially considering I could've just used robots.

this got me wondering, if you don't have the military party in your government you'd be fine

I'm guessing artists and musicians get paid top dollar at AMPLITUDE

No, they can make peace and be peaceful, but it takes some effort to get Militarists out of the Senate.

that's really cool, something that was BUGGING me about the necrophages in EL was the inability to play peacefully

More like taking effort to not be instantly in rebellion since they are a dictatorship.

I let the fart people die on the science ship idling in the orbit of the gas giant they wanted to move in

Gotta keep those races separate, but equal.

They gave the cravers a new government for release. Rebellions never happen and slaves can no longer vote. I have noticed my population has been dying extremely fast though.

Oh cool. Better build Food improvements.

>settle a fertile planet with Cravers
>random Kalgeros came and settled and don't want to leave
>+2 innate approval +4 from Fertile
>-5 from enslaved

Not only that but also the end of the cravers quest gives an improvement that negates the negative effects of declining a truce. They fixed every single problem I had with the cravers in this one patch.

Sounds like a net gain to me.

It is. What the fuck, though

The + in population descriptions is in addition to, not in replacement of.

...

Does every unique planet have a unique colonization animation?

I'm not sure if it's unique for that planet but from what I've seen every biome type has an animation.
It could be that animation is for arid in general, I haven't played long enough to see.

Can mpv play surround audio? It says "2 channels" on either edition in steam.

Still waiting on EXTRA THICC posting about snails.

Why is it ALWAYS starfish hitlers?

Trees are pretty fun. Their colonization and influence spread method is certainly unique and really feels like a completely different race rather than just a repaint with different values.

I think I'm going to buy endless space 2. What's the coolest race lore wise?

youtube.com/watch?v=h8H8DedCW_I

The tree fuckers are interesting but being antiwar means if I get boxed in by another civ im kind of hosed.

So I was looking for a space exploration/colonization game, Stellaris looks good. Can I just play solo or is it a map painting game a la EU4?

there is only HORATIO

These guys seem like late game monsters, but early on its hard as fuck to actually have many riftborn populating your riftborn planets.

Trees worship fire and have sacrifice rituals.
Reminds me of those Veeky Forums vampires praising the sun.

Are the Vodyani the space jews?

>stellaris
>ally wants me to join an offensive war against our mutual 3 rivals
>join in and take on the two larger ones close to me
>they only have to survive against the last one until I'm done
>they get completely BTFO instantly
>suddenly, -30 WS
>in the time I take 2 planets from them, my retarded ally lost 5 systems
>stop my offensive, and set course for my ally to liberate his shit
>suddenly peace
>THEY FUCKING GAVE AWAY MY CAPITAL
>INSTEAD OF THEIR OWN SHIT
>MY FUCKING CAPITAL

this is the most retarded shit I have ever seen in this game.

Spess trees have no overexpansion penalty, spamming Vineships is really op if you don't get rushed by some other race
