How can people on Diamond I mmr, even if its fucking shit, pick lvl 5 Sonya and deal less dmg than a fucking malfurion and be the ones with less siege/exp contribution even if they were alone on lane sucking dicks the whole game

I figured if shit went south I had to be there but this was obviously a bad decision and we got predictably wiped.

You may as well die with your team. There's always a small chance you could wipe out the enemy team or can help enough people escape to defend.

Which site has the best builds for a hero?

There are times when you see they are sliding into a flaming pit and you can either stay on your hill or jump into the slide.

It's probably better to jump into the slide.

I can't get out of Platinum in Team League. I don't play solo.

I know the only constant is myself, but I've noticed a few things. I consistently get paired against teams of five when I've queued as 2 or 3. My opponents are almost exclusively Diamond, Master, or Grandmaster, sometimes several Grandmasters together, and I get paired with Bronze and Silver players to counteract that. I know the game isn't dead because I normally get near-instant queue times, especially when I roll as a team of three, so this has to be a matter of matchmaking screwing me over, but I have no idea why I'm being singled out here.

Is there some secret to winning in this game when you almost exclusively get paired against opponents that are several tiers above you in skill, with allies that are several tiers below you?

I normally queue up with 1-2 other people who I know aren't pure shit, or at the very least can coordinate with me over voice chat.

I don't really have a reason to. I always have at least one friend online willing to play with me.

If you're instantly matched with pairs of bronzes and silvers vs 5-stacks of masters, then MM is most definitely dead and you are being shoved under a rug because the other two parties have been waiting for forever.

If it only happened a few times, I would agree.
But it happens over and over several times a day at all hours. I have played against more Masters or Grandmasters than not. I have never been paired with someone higher than Platinum on my team. Sometimes I'll play ten or more games in a row, and despite the players being different every time, I'm consistently paired with Masters and Grandmasters again and again, even when there were no five-stacks in the game.

I'm not talking a handful of games here. I have close to 200 Team League matches and this does not stop happening.

Get a 5-stack.

If I'm playing Alarak, should I be throwing myself at the enemy in hopes of getting the 3-hit discord strike quest as soon as I get that talent? It's such a massive power spike that it seems like it's actually worth more than the objective

congrats to blizz for getting alarak's flavor right. when you play the hero, you really don't care about your allies or what they want, you're just focused on your own quests. just like Alarak in SC2!!!

I enjoy playing medivh. If you can get master's touch quest done really quickly he's pretty strong. The biggest problem with medivh is getting your team to trust your portals.
