Skill tree gives lbx40 memeback enough free ammo that it's viable in quick play instead of just scouting. That'll do, pig

I agree

Hmm

hd grafiikat

Oh look it episode 1012591581726 of the "subhuman niggertards consistently vote for the worst map and worst gamemode available" show

Hello?

*NEW* *STEALTH* ARMOR* *MOD*

213 CT HP points lmao

shit build

Imagine what I could do with a good one if I'm breaking the thousands this this.

not enough er large lasers

>needing that much rear armor
>on a cicada

This is some next level almond activation.

He's not wrong about the tree being needlessly convoluted.

The only winning move is not to play.

The thing is they're trying to make MWO into Hawken because it's still alive and making money somehow.

...

I'm far far more mad about engine de-sync than I am about the skill tree abortion. That actually changed the core gameplay, node whack-a-mole didn't.

Considering they killed mobility across the board it seems like Hawken is the furthest from their minds.

So I go back to MWO after a couple years and suddenly everyone is declaring it's dead?

why is this change so difficult to deal with? Don't actually mind the new skill tree so much.

>buy marauder
>it's stock
>first game played is GET IN THE DAMN CIRCLE
>somehow arrive to it first on the team with 15 seconds left on the clock
>mention it. "Maybe you shouldn't spec into mobility." while the light pilots chime in, "No. We don't get in front of marauders because they always shoot us in the back."
>proceed to lose as I'm the only one in the damn circle while the everyone else herps and gets picked off one by one trying to flank by walking into their firing lines.

...

30k clicks to remaster all the mechs if you're a whale and own them all.
mechs don't perform the same
dragons are viable again
novas are babby mode against pugs
lurmageddon, while ignoring that srms hit even better

>why is this change so difficult to deal with?

Welcome to the Battletech franchise friend. There are still motherfuckers that like pic related over the Centurion we have now. Let that sink in for a bit.

Next we have the issue of going from the years of double basic mastery boosts to movement and cooling, and bigger engine = better mobility. With engine decoupling, bigger engines only give a boost to speed, overall mobility is based on tonnage. So all of that combined makes mechs handle very differently than what you're used to.

Lastly, the ephemeral quirks were reduced across the board. Quirks did actually give personality/roles to mechs. This has further homogenized various chassis. The good news is if you had substantial armor/structure quirks like the 4SP, you can now tank an entire enemy team and live if you go into the Survival skill tree.

Frankly, this is something we should have had years ago, during closed/open beta. Changing a bunch of things like this invariably upsets some people. Also most people are too stupid and lazy to be able to figure out optimal skill tree progression.

I do love the old cilinder hand centurion, whats your problem m8, are you some kind of hater?

Are you saying it looks better than the concept art done by FD? Do note, that before cancerboxes, the Cent did have a legitimate cannon barrel.

>use lrm20 with artimis on mech with innate lrm spread quirks plus spread quirks from skilltree
>fire at ebon jag who is tagged
>25% of my missiles still miss

haha

Because the downies shit their diapers when anything changes, can't read patch notes or understand basic videogame mechanics, and think they have to set up the skilltree for all of their 300 mechs RIGHT NOW instead of when they feel like playing a mech. They'll surely play all of those mechs on a daily basis and need them all with skilltrees set up on the double and this is a reasonable complaint.

One cam almost hear how you're gulping on pig cum.

>falling for the lrm meme

imp when

How many extra dubs for the 4SP?

>he brought an Atlas with LRMx40 + 2 medium lasers

>that one guy who still hasn't figured out the optimal skilltree path

reading is too hard!
still wish they would just make it compact and not force you to go through bullshit you don't want

just make every node their own tree and give the players like half as many points

why is this so difficult for PGI

>full heat containment and cool run consist of 10 nodes
>in order to get them you need to invest 20 skill points
lol

>mining collective and polar highland comes up
>polar highlands wins the vote

pew pew

its almost as if this system was built to keep people from unlocking all the good nodes at once

Why? That's a terrible system. No other game does that. Just do what said, give the players what they want but less overall points. You still get the same end result, just with less bloated lists of useless quirks and less frustration from players.

>bushwacker p1
>6 missile hardpoints
>ballistic and energy cd quirks

Anyone else skyrocketed in tiers since the skill tree update?

Got from full potato to mid-t3 with what feels like a 75% winrate.

Hmm

Nope. I'm dealing more damage, but it doesn't help when half the team still can't break over 100. I'm seeing a few better players, but being on the eternal line between T4 and T5 sucks.

HMM

I didn't even know we were fighting until I died to be quite honest,

I just love taking absolutely worthless skill nodes like Shock Absorb, Hill climb and Speed retention.

I mean, it wasn't enough that people just passed on them for much much better modules in the past. Instead of removing them like they should have they now force you to take them to get to the worthwhile stuff. Brilliant game design! I can't wait for the cosmetic skill tree so you can waste a portion of that 91 on double warhorns and increased decal capacity.

don't give them ideas pls

>Heavy Metal with a ton of armor skill nodes

It feels so good.

I forgot that mech was a thing.

if you MUST lurm, you IS lrm10+a x2 for a ranged AC20 and have other weapons that you use from 200-700m so that your Artemis actually works and shits those missiles onto specific components that you are also hitting with your other weapons.

otherwise you are a lurmfaggot shitter and need to kys

Just going to run without skill trees until at least when the Civil War tech drops because it is almost garaunteed PGI is going to screw people over on the new nodes and tree rebalance not giving the players free respecs. A couple months running less than basic Mechs should put things in perspective as to how terrible everything is at the baseline level.

>reee STOP LIKING WHAT I DON'T LIKE! REEE

>the game must stay how i personally want it to be and it's not ever allowed to change for the better overall

yeah, you tell him! how dare piggy improve the game overall whilst making only a few mistakes! piggy have to stale meta forever and ever!

>ran into an IS highlander earlier today
>literally wouldn't die

>Just going to run without skill trees
lol

>(((improve)))

>i-its only a few mistakes g-guys!

>reeeee reading is toooo haaaard

Nice upscaled resolution my dude

>definding piggu with stale memes

literally
"new skill tree? TL;DR patch notes"
the post.

anti- new skill tree faggots are just salty and QQQQ-ing because they are too fucking dumb to read and refuse to admit they're fucking retarded

>yfw a paid shill is defending mmorpg tier talent trees

>still zero (0) coherent arguments from pro-piggers
>only myhmspouting and u mads
>p-please belive it's good!

I'm a klord and I approve of these memes.

>cucklord opinion

eat a dick faggots. you'd KNOW the new skill tree is good if you'd been following any of it, or READ THE FUCKING INSTRUCTIONS like you've been told already.

piggy nerf'd mobility and agility accross the board beacuse too many mechs were leaving 'stompy robot' territory and getting deep into ''superhuman ninja deathbot'' mecha territory.

this is something almost everyone has been wanting for forever.

new skill tree allowing you to make YOUR mech YOURS is a great thing, with previously 'tanky' mechs being capable of becoming silly unkillable. whilst if you STILL want your superpowered ninja deathbot, you can get back much of what you lost. and you will feel like you actually have far more agility and mobility, since not everyone else is going to build their ____ the same way.

so be a fuckwit if you want. but all you're doing is making sure everyone knows you're a dipshit who cannot into Basic literacy.

>cookie cutter builds already popping up left and right
>your mech is yours

...

>piggu shill gets angry at his lack of arguments and strawmans some more cuz he can't stop sucking piggu dick
>"rowboats were getting too fast!" said no one ever
>implies there's anything more than an illusion of choice and it's not an old skill system just repackaged

>everyone is stealing your design

it took months of research to figure out you should put srms on a commando and all these fuckers come in and just steal my work.

I wonder if it's Babbykeks getting butthurt like a child he is.

Jack?

i came up with the srm commando

>only people who would call a retard a retard are pig shills
Ayy lmao

>people actually too stupid to figure out that -15% laser duration might be a good idea if you have laser weapons
hmm really makes you think

The Shaq 2H is insanely good now with +35% structure

S M H

Shaqqing my head

But any mech can be good when you take it into solo queue

Any show/movie recommendations that are mech porn and NOT the fly around super fast kind of mechs?

people willingly play this game mode

Fang of the Son Dougram

Why? Pic related: It's got the Shaq in action

People willingly play this game

What is this game mode?

probably alpine 'stand in the piss stain'

AKA 'one side starts on the side where you walk 50-100 metres and has a perfect highground firing line on the other team who have to run 600 metres across open ground with 0 cover anywhere just to get in the circle and NOT lose out of hand, which also has no cover.''

AKA

''one side loses 4-8 'mechs before they can do anything ever''

Armor Hunter Mellowlink

>literally hints at what this game mode is in upper right corner
Pigkin everyone.

IIRC Full Metal Panic does before it gets weird. Some swear by Gasakari. You MIGHT like Dancouga, but it's a combiner show, so you got that. Dragonar is pretty good as well. The original Gundam from the late 70s is okay when it's doing ground battles. I think there was a mech game turned into an anime a few years back- something like Super Robot Wars or something.

>IIRC Full Metal Panic does before it gets weird.

I tried but I never got into wacky school hijinks. My friends swear by Fumoffu though. I am going to make another recommendation though, Panzer World Galient. Real fucking space knight shit like my 3025s.

no. ffumoffu is for rediculous silly. it's a CUHRAYZEE. completely different from F.M.P 1 and 2

Its fantasy mechs but the Escaflowne tv series is pretty nice. Some people dislike the ending for being kinda WTF?, most people hate the lead heroine, because she is a believable highschool girl(minus plot necessary power) and they are unbearable, but the mechs sword fightan is lovely.

Watch the original Evangelion for Lovecraftian real robot

It's WTF because it was cut short from 39 episodes and they had to OMG cram shit into the last half of the 26 episodes that they got. The soundtrack is great though. I saw it in Mexico uncut before I got to enjoy the Saban edit here stateside.

Most people hate that because Shinji is a believable highschool girl, too.

Battletech cartoon.

I did not know that. I didn't have any trouble following it but I also don't mind time skips. I am usually one of the few people that liked the ending and thought it was pretty clever for a chinese cartoon.
