BASED

>republic
it's shit

Never seen it start before 1500

So now that the dust has settled, what's the consensus on M&T?

It's rare but it happens, occasionally

It's fucking bloated.

W&B

Not the savior people shilled here.

Anyone has a DL link for HoI4 KR?

steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=809903394

>cuck

You already said it, playing M&T

How one does one learn HoI3?
Also new games when

>black death happens in my kingdom
>close the gates before my king die
>he dies anyway because he was a one legged, disfigured, sick old man
>I don't realize that after succession the gates open again for some reason
>all my bloodline catches the plague and it's game over

Nice.

>black death happens in my kingdom
>send my chancellor to die cause he's dick
>he's a leper
>he gets the black death while I chill with my family
>my daughter caughts it and die
>my chancelor survives it

Really? Gates open after a succession occurs? Should tell paradox about this, sounds like a bug

Fuck off
Don't start stirring shit, you have two shitposter threads for that

>not knowing the game inside out
cuck

Just how much better is EUIII compared to EUIV? As much fun as CKII is I want to play around in America.

Also on the CKII front is it normal for your liege to declare holy war on you? I tried a Zunist playthrough and bowed to the Ottomans and he immediately declared jihad.

I dare to say EU4 is now better, just because it has way more shit. EU3 deals with a lot of stuff better, like slides instead of mana, but EU4 has more content.

Never became an Emperor before, what do I do now?

The Reformation is spreading, and the league war will probably happen sooner or later, can i become reformed/protestant and still be emperor? Or do I have to stay Catholic for the throne?

If I have to stay Catholic, I'll let the throne go away and leave the Empire.

About the same thing, but for conversion, stick with EU4.

>Also on the CKII front is it normal for your liege to declare ar holy war on you?
If you are a pagan for him, yes.

unify the HRE obsviously
make it protestant

You can be reformed/protestant and be emperor if you win the league war IIRC

Just go protestant lad
Also is Switzerland reformed?

>protestant/reform HRE
disgusting

Thanks

>I only make threads after 740
wew

>4 free diplomats
Nigger what the fuck are you doing

EU4 is much better
It reached a point it's so good no one has any ideas on what to do DLC about so they stopped doing expansions and are doing mini-region-based expansions

I don't wanna blob, only going for BeNeLux + East Frisia.
But isn't the league war against me? Do I let them win?
I JUST became emperor, so I stopped relations with all the electors. This is literally 1 day after it happened.

Why the fuck is ireland considered tutorial island?
Ireland is fucking hards with all the vikings around.

>But isn't the league war against me? Do I let them win?
You are going to lose the throne for a bit IIRC, winning the league war officially changes the religion of the empire. See the wiki to be sure.

Dense nigger. It's for the 1066 start.

Charlememe is for Reddit, and Old Gods is too easy, but if you want tutorial play the Norse nigga in Brittany.

>I don't wanna blob
>EU4
>I don't wanna blob

Speaking of DLC's I'm missing five of them: Art of War, Mare Nosstrum, Conquest of Paradise, Mandate of Heaven and Cossacks. Due to budget reasons I'm planning on picking up 3 of them from Humble Bundles' sale. I'm definitely grabbing AoW, but what should the other 2 be?

>I don't wanna blob, only going for BeNeLux + East Frisia.
Then you are going to die kiddo

All the main DLC are essential, they straight um improve stuff.

If you need to choose 2, Mare Nostrum and Cossacks. Though Mandate of Heaven diplo stuff is pretty nice too. CoP is the least essential one.

>buying DLC
Just pirate them all. See the OP.

>Cossacks
The states stuff is fucking shit.

Cossacks is not only the states stuff and honestly, it's a good addition.

I mean one for a pirate jackass

I'm aiming for a comfy trade/colonization game. Lowlands + Caribbean + Indonesia + various centers of trade around the world.

Historical.
France is my lapdog, 95 trust and strong as fuck.

>I'm aiming for a comfy trade/colonization game. Lowlands + Caribbean + Indonesia + various centers of trade around the world.
>Historical
That doesn't cut it, you should expand a bit more or the other europeans are going to fuck you hard.

CS.RIN.RU has an archive or search the Veeky Forums archive.

>France is my lapdog, 95 trust and strong as fuck.
Until the AI change its mind and decides to fuck you cause your lands are well developed.

Danish + Danish pets + HUGE France + HRE bonuses.

I think I'm good.

My only possible rival in the sea is Spain, but my superior naval ideas should make them easy targets. I'm rich as hell due to trade, and Admin Ideas help me recruit cheap mercs, not that I need them since HRE manpower is huge.

How the fuck are you supposed to beat the ottomans in EU4? Shit is absurd.

France is going to betray you nigger.
Never trust the AI.

dutch

git gud

I am deathly afraid of the fibbies. I know it is extremely unlikely and an almost entirely irrational fear, but I can't get past it.

Alright then thanks.

Do Battle Plans give you any tangible benefits? Because I think they're stupid, so I don't use them, I just move units manually.

In HoI4? Yes. All the other games? No.

Depends on the country desu, some countries it is more likely to get caught
But only if you use torrents tho

>Pick Venice, ally Hungary + Austria, and possibly Genoa/Papal State.
>Declare on core Albania
>Wait for Turks to declare on Albania
>Vassalize Albania and thus get into a defensive war vs Turks
>Win the game.

You can also pick Mamlukes, conquer Ram, Dul, and Kar. Focus Mil Tech, and rape the Ottos by 1460.

You can only beat the Ottos early or late game. Let them grow a bit and you're fucked til late game.

Yes

>>Vassalize Albania and thus get into a defensive war vs Turks
Then get fucked by them.
Austria and Hungary get their shit kicked in by the ottomans.

They don't betray after 80 trust. It's the game's mechanics.
Danish are my allies, they got Sweden and Norway as pets.

>You can only beat the Ottos early or late game. Let them grow a bit and you're fucked til late game.
Beating them late game is a pain in the ass, they shit 200K merc armies.
Fuck paradox should fix merc spam.

>They don't betray after 80 trust. It's the game's mechanics.
Fuck, really? I got the ottomans betray me after 60 and 100 years of alliance because "lol no viable rival anymore".

>Danish are my allies, they got Sweden and Norway as pets.
They are soon going to lose it.

>Fuck paradox should fix merc spam.
As time goes by merc availability should decrease, especially after the league war.

But at least they don't have OP Azab infantry, Western units are the best late game.
No dense nigger, try both strats, always work.

With Venice, you fight them around 1448, when they got around 10k manpower, 20 units, and a shit fleet. They're weak as shit. Hungary, Austria, Naxos, Corfu, Genoa/Papal and you will beat their shit in so hard.

>But at least they don't have OP Azab infantry, Western units are the best late game.
Doesn't matter when you have infinite manpower.

I had 80 trust 6 years into the game. A war vs England and one vs Burgundy gave me lots of favors.

Always spend favors into trust, unless you expect to backstabber them later.
Not with my help lad.

>I had 80 trust 6 years into the game. A war vs England and one vs Burgundy gave me lots of favors.
How the fuck

Since apparently literally everyone's decided to succumb to autism and actually care what very specific thread we shitpost in.

To me, CK2 has always been the more fantastic one. There's a realistic underlay to it, but from a strict historical standpoint, the most unrealistic things in any Paradox game can happen in CK2; the entirety of Eurasia can be conquered by satanist incestuous mongols. You can migrate a stable cultural group halfway across the world (English can become the primary culture of Jerusalem, for example). A King can easily maintain control of territory separated by such a distance that it would take months to receive any information from it at all. None of those things could have happened in historically, at least not to the extent which CK2 permits. And this is entirely ignoring magic and Aztecs and whatnot.

EU4 tries to be more historic (there, for example, is no potential to become certain religions which would not have been viable at the time such as Norse or satanist, for example, outside of nation designer), but the problem is that the systems which attempt to govern how nations develop is piss-poor. Ideas are a poor vehicle for change over time, culture groups are manipulated into retarded ahistorical blocks to facilitate "proper expansion" because the AI is too stupid to go even in the most basic direction which it historically did, and the lack of gradually increasing autonomy as one moves out from the capital--plus a complete disinterest in maintaining borders along natural defensive boundaries--makes everything so changeable as to be pointless in a game which makes claims to historicity. The game which tries to be realistic but fails utterly, because the mechanics can't handle it.

Compare EU4 to Vicky, where the mechanics will punish you extremely for taking European territory which aren't your cores; Vicky produces a game which is generally more visually and historically tenable as a result.

>Since apparently literally everyone's decided to succumb to autism and actually care what very specific thread we shitpost in.
>To me, CK2 has always been the more fantastic one.
Not surprised desu

You ever played Manchu in EU or Victoria 2 (vs China) at all?

Hordes of man are useless when your troops are far superior.

Ottomans usually go for Quantity. Get Offensive + Quality + Innovative, get yourself a Morale/Discipline advisor, and a decent general and you can beat stacks three times your size. Plus you can also infinitely stack mercs.

Also, Ottoman AI tends to get stuck in the many Aegean islands. Get naval superiority and bait them into a strait.

>You ever played Manchu in EU or Victoria 2 (vs China) at all?
V2 isn't EU4

>Hordes of man are useless when your troops are far superior.
No they aren't, especially when your hordes are mercs.

finished mayo and talex eu4 will be better than eu3, so try it atm it may getter better it might not

ok it's 5 am and i need to sleep but so far i've added this to the mod
>socialist parties allowed in commie dictatorship
>commie dicatorship can allow elections
>added ideologies: anarcho communism, international socialism(trotskyism), totalitarian socialism(stalinism)
what i plan on doing tomorrow
>more ideologies
>implement decision for communists to civilize their puppets
>add agrarian economic policy
any more suggestions??

M&T is fucking shit.

with meiou 2.0 beta tall is feasible

Yes
Kill yourself

I contributed a shit ton. Destroyed England's navy, etc. Actively participating in the war nets you more favors than not. And simply accepting the call to arms also nets you favors.
What I meant is to use China as an example, who literally throws men at you as Manchu/Japan in EU/V2.

Ottoman troops suck later in the game, be smart and trap them, or go in a mountain and stackwipe them. It's not that hard. I'll give you the early and mid game though, they are literally impossible unless you're Mamluks/Venice/Timur.

Great, the Mayonnaise in texas shill woke up

Can someone tell me how to play Vic2?

if it's shill to speak the truth then crucify me

Start the game
Click single player
Choose a country
Press play

play aas prussia or US and follow that path

Make purges a decision which you can repeat, rather than just a single one you take on the path to the totalitarian state modifier. Also, maybe allow for a class genocide (elimination of all landowners, capitalists, and perhaps a percentage of intellectuals and officers)? Definitely also put together a CB for international socialists to declare war to install a proletarian dictatorship, preferably with huge infamy cost but low fabrication time. One with much smaller infamy cost but maybe higher fab time could be usable on uncivilized nations, and as an adjunct it could civilize and puppet them (with no techs, maybe?) once completed, to represent the installation of a pro-communist """temporary""" dictator.

Th-thanks

You are lying tho
Just because you suck the mod's and the modders cock religiously doesn't make it the truth

It doesn't matter when you literally have infinite manpower
You are going to lose by sheer attrition alone or the war is going to be so fucking costly it's simply not worth it.
If you neighbor then it's even worse, anatolia is a pain.

How am I lying, it is fun because you feel like the K8ing of a state not a nation, so it actually matters how much influence you give factions, not everything is crown land

>maybe allow for a class genocide
there's already an event for commies that either kill all upper class or make them become lower classes, but i'll definetely implement purges and later down the line some cbs as well, thanks

>he feels like a king because he eventually clicks a button to assign a modifier with a name some land

>he feels like a king because he can get his son to marry his sister

Who are you quoting?

How about change it for those that don't want to micromanage their entire country's economy? Like, have it trigger if the ruling party has planned economy as its economic policy, this leaves state cap communists and socialists as the moderates that keep some of the rich around.

>being a little bitch
Ottomans have a breaking point, its only a bit higher than others.

Hopefully this one doesnt die as well

>go to war against the ottomans
>drain their 250K manpower pool
>my manpower is dropping fast
>kill some other 100K mercs
>they are 6K in debt
>still 200K mercs
>a bit higher
>using the early game when they are nothing

You got 4 options.
>Play Venice
>Play Mamluks
>Play Timmies
>No CB Byzantium and vassalize

All these must be done within 20 years. Otherwise the Ottomans become the HISTORICAL powerhouse that they were.

You know what's funny? They're not even as OP as they were IRL, and I take back the 20 year limit, with the nerds they got a couple patches ago, you get like 30. Tick tock.

You should hope he dies.

>using the early game when they are nothing
>i attack them after they have a foothold because thats logical
Good for you
>no CB
You can fabricate claims on them.
