MMR never resets. You're fucked for life if you messed up and will have to grind that shit out.

HL placements matter very little. Maybe twice as much as a normal game? Three maybe.
It's all dependant on your Qm MMR, which is pretty dumb, but all it means is that a bunch of shitters get placed in diamond 3 and make the start of the season unbearable.

Nop, thats why you need to grind those QM points
If you happen to play HL with a shitty QM MMR you will receive a bad rank even if you do well

And eventually when you get decent, your QM MMR will raise, but your HL MMR will still be shit because they are separated now

Is there any reason to play Gazlowe anymore? I used to play him for the boss solo and shit like that but now they made him a lot weaker. Lazer build is funny but its never quite enough unless the enemy is stupid enough to stand there while all your turrets charge up.

How do you even play TLV?

Admittedly I only play him in Quick Memes but I tend to do an okay job with him.
Draft is a seperate matter entirely and I've yet to really use him there out of fear of sending my teammates on tilt.

Twin Blades is good again, but it's like Illidan being good.
You have insane sustain and damage, but against burst heavy comps or people with a lot of cc/team capable of pouncing on dudes who got cc'd it really falls apart.
It's great in QP because no one's realized how dangerous it suddenly got still because 90% of the people picking Twin Blades are the ones who kept picking it before the aa buffs anyways (I.E. baddies)

Explain how he is better then has been because you stated nothing. Because at the moment I don't see why you would pick him over any other pushing specialists besides dicking around.

Gazlowe is a fine pick on certain maps.
Turret setup makes him near impossible to gank without suffering heavy losses and he sieges like a fucking madman, takes camps with ease and is decently tanky while hitting like an assassin.

Mobility and poke ability are his only issues, but someone with any amount of map awareness can setup at least 2 turrets before a fight, which should leave you free to engage however you please.

Of course you help your team its hots not league but there would be better options for team fights then gaz. I usually prefer Azmo or Zag who can do his job without being worthless most of the time.

Maw is one of the better heroics in the game though she does less damage than Gaz.

Here's my go to build for Gazlowe but some talents depend on your opposition.

Goblin Repairs is the must pick at level 1. That regen comes in surprisingly handy and reduces downtime. Take Extra TNT if you're going Grav Bomb build and the enemy likes to clump up/has summons.

Clockwerk Steam Fists at 4. If Grav Bomb build, go ARK.

Engine Gunk at 7. That slow should not be underestimated. If on Infernal Shrines and your team lacks AoE, take XL turret.s If you're going Lazer Build, Hyperfocus coils.

I believe Robo Goblin is the better ultimate. It increases your damage so you do EVERYTHING faster, gives you a pseudo escape option, and lets you bitch slap people. Grav-o-Bomb definitely has its uses though.

X-tra is the default choice here. If Lazer build, take Goblin Fusion, but if your team lacks CC, take Ripper instead.

Turret Storage is the normal choice, even for Lazer Build. Superior Schematics is useless. I often find myself picking Kwik Release Charge too, however. Combined with X-tra at 13, it's create zoning potential for melee heavy teams.

Mecha-Lord at 20. Upgrade Grav Bomb if you picked it. If you went Lazer build and didn't pick Grav Bomb, pick Firing Ma Lazers.

The only time you go lazer build is if the enemy has a lot of ranged or your team lacks burst. Other than that, focus on zoning with turrets and bombs. Get to objectives early to set up your turrets, and set them apart so a single AoE doesn't destroy them.

Just because they're specialist doesn't mean they're the same. They all serve different roles.
Azmo is global pressure and a Chromie-esque mage if you go globe build.
Gazlowe holds objectives fairly well and will fuck a melee heavy comp.
Zag... Zag is sustain ranged damage I guess and global pressure if she doesn't pick Maw.

Khara can't build for sustain at all, so he did the right choice in building for all in engagements, overwhelming them before they outsustain you.
He's right to blame the tank, in most cases, as he's the one who has to engage for his team. It's another matter if he did so wrongly OR his team didn't follow up on him. In this case, you were just fucked period because you had a feeder Gazlowe and you cuntbag played Leoric, who absolutely sucks against non-double warrior comps AND has no engage.

People like blaming something more present than something abstract like matchmaking, but it was almost entirely matchmaking.

There is no heal spec for Tyrande if she isn't going stun build she is shit. Of course picking Li Li goes very well with her. I am not sure about Tass since they fucked with him.

First off, that's horrifyingly wrong, Khara's sustain can be extraordinary, maybe not as high as malfs, but then why not pick Malf? Why pick Khara as the only healer then not go healer?

Second he could at least take Divine Palm over Seven Sided Strike to save Greymane or Li Ming, he clearly wanted to DPS all along, hence why he said nothing to the team at hero select

Third he didn't take Epiphany at 20, so he really wasn't DPSing correct

Fourth, he didn't follow any correct engagements, instead choosing to try and jump their healer every fight.

Exactly. Tyrande is a good support, but terrible healer. Tass fell into the same category until his rework fucked that and turned him into a shitty assassin. Which they just nerfed even more.
Tyrande + a real healer like Malf with his roots is great synergy.
Tyrande + Tassadar is dogshit.
And I like both heroes on their own. Just not together.

He isn't really a builder character though, but I guess he is the closest to one other than like Gazlowe. He's more of a area damage mage + pusher.

He's great on any map with three lanes since he can force an insane amount of pressure with his pushing power or maps with really important objectives like Tower of Doom

The competition for an orc spot was a bit too huge.
You had Gul'dan who is an important lore hero, fan favorite and the first warlock on his way to HotS. Then there was also Samuro who was a fan favorite due to being an iconic WC3 blademaster.
After these two got added people already started to complain about an orc overload in HotS. So any further orc heroes will have to wair.
Also most the warlords with the exception of Grom and Garrosh probably aren't among the top picks for a future orc hero.
