Stuck cylinder block

>removed most studs
>4 are stuck
>pistons move freely
>hammering the fuck out of it

It doesn't fucking budge.
How do I get it off?

...

>removed most studs
Remove all studs.

Looks like the head is already off.

Can't manage with the nuts, the seem to be in for good, used some wd40 let's see what happens.

One came loose but I can't pull it out, can't figure out why.

use a hydrolic press to push one of the pistons down.

>removed most studs
Most of the studs are removed
>4 are stuck
All studs except 4 are removed
>pistons move freely
Crank can turn more then 360° and pistons slide up and down the bores smoothly
>hammering the fuck out of it
What is "it" and why are you hammering it? Better be using a rubber mallet.
>It doesn't fucking budge.
What is "it"? Remember, you told us the pistons already move freely.
>How do I get it off?
Depends on what "it" is.
- this is good advice
Google a stud puller, it'll look like a top (plumbers die, or dradle) and cost about $20, studs will then be easy and almost fun to pull.
DO NOT DO THIS, you'll fuck some shut up.

>what is "it"

Take a wild guess.

Look for the pry points between the block and cases. And stop pulling out studs.

There are none, the officine manual specifically says not to do that

A wild side valve appears?

That looks like a good way to mar up the surface ensuring it will never properly seal

Oh dear, someone shellaced the gasket. What model engine is this exactly?

'74 cb400, four cylinders

WD40 is fucking trash, go buy penetrating oil.

Nah, you don't touch the sealing surface. Manufacturers who don't hate you provide pry points cast into the block and cases explicitly for this purpose.

There is a locating dowel on either end of the block (No 16 in the pic) that may be corroded and seized. I'm afraid you may have to pry to get it apart, right at those points.

Could be, all the others seemed in good conditions though.

Really nothing else to hold the block on. You're going to have to pry, and stone flat the marks you make, and put it back together with Gasgacinch or some other sealer which knows it's not glue.

stuck block not stuck Glock

Did you do it chubbs?

no :(

just dunk the whole thing in diesel overnight
