Do a small pull only slightly over so any policemen will fire up thier radar giving themselves away, and at the worst you may get a small ticket. If you get nothing you are free to do a proper pull!

You can pick up cops well before the get your speed. It's instant on that you have to worry about.

I don't, it's been over a decade since Radar was used for speed enforcement in the first world.

Owned and used a radar detector for years, but all it did was annoy me constantly and warn me that I was about to be pulled over. Basically worthless.

The radar detector might be pretty much instat, but I can only slow down at around 9,81 m/s2, wich means I need about 3-4 seconds to slow down to regular speed, not including reaction time.
I travel more than 200m in that time.

This calculation assumes a reaction time of 0,0s and tires with a drag coefficient of 1,0.
In reality I need time to react, the brakes need time to apply force and I might only get a 0,8 of drag coeficient on the tires.

A radar detector simply won´t work for me...
