There is, but price ranges are controlled within a certain range. You need a value pack or appearance coupon to change your appearance, but if you do then you can do that anytime in a safe zone. New players get 14 days total of value pack benefits, and you can try to buy them off the MB. Sure, there's lifeskills, sailing, PvP, and your normal PvE stuff to put it simply. If you're looking for things that call for a small group of your buddies, you won't find a whole lot.
I'm far from endgame, but what even IS good endgame? Every single mmo community groans about lack of endgame content.
