Is my Palla just getting lucky or is Est getting unlucky, or is Est really only supposed to get her super stats really really late.
At level 8 Falco Knight and she and Est have the same number of raw stats, with Palla having much higher attack and higher defense, and Est having higher other stats.

Catria is currently blowing both of the other two out of the water.

In Echoes is there some trick to the xp dlc? brigands and bandages or whatever?

Like how in the Fates DLC the trick was to lunge your way onto the exit point, blocking it. Get yourself surrounded by the yellow monsters that don't attack. Then switch to the unit you want to level and let them make ranged kills for xp.

Luthier is the cutest, I'm going to field him even if he isn't a very good unit.

Can't really say much on advice since i'm not that far in Echos myself, but If you're moving from an original 2/3DS to New, then I guess it's worth getting the N2DS since a couple games like Xenoblade and the Warrors games only run on it. If you already have a N3DS, there's not really much point in getting one since it's the exact same system without 3D
