Either my taste is flawed or someone was memeing hard with this release.

No matter how you look at it, PC players are thirsty for JRPGs and will praise anything that's on their platform.

Don't get me wrong, I liked Berseria, especially characters and interactions, but just small stuff like textures and even day and night effects instantly made me push share button for screenshots in SO.

If you only play it once, then it's a pretty fun game.
Combat is basic as fuck, but it could be a lot worse.

The problem I had with it was getting the Platinum.
Awful game. It takes so much grinding and replaying the game for basically nothing.

I used to play FFXIV. I was a healer. I wish they would've included one of each again for the new addon, 2 new DD classes don't make me want to pick up the game again.

The changes to healers in 4.0 looks pretty great though.
You can now pull people out of AOEs, so no more DPS Dragoons trying to tank.

I usually grew tired of all the raid stuff that was in the game. I remember when I first played my guild managed to kill that twintania thingie and after 3 weeks of the same shit I didn't feel like playing anymore. I started with the new addon again and then there was this red bug thingie that dropped weapons, I farmed that a few days and then I was done with the addon again. I don't think I want to try again. It didn't help that astrologist sucked major dick aswell.

I was in your shoes a few days ago and decided to prepare for SB even though it took me forever to finish the original MSQ and I probably won't finish HW's MSQ before SB. I'm leveling AST

What would make Sony's E3 an utter failure for you?

Lately I think their presentations have been good or decent, since there's no garbage like the Wonderbook. But I hope to see more exclusives, more variety (Days Gone and God of War almost feel like the same tone as The Last of Us to me), and more release dates. Less remasters.

The same stuff that made the last few sony E3s complete failures.

the only issue is that they haven't demonstrated that it can do much more than third person platformers
but it's going to be an incredible walkaround simulator from the previews, for one thing. you can make your own models from scratch. one of the shown levels had like, a gorgeous watercolor aesthetic

Everything they show off LOOKS nice sure, but none of them are ever what could be considered a proper game, most of the shit they show is just looking around.
The closest thing I've seen to an actual game with different mechanics is a guy that shoots water to spray away slime or something like that, and it looks bad.

that's the thing - i'm not 100% sold on the gameplay elements, but i AM sold on the ability to make really artistic stuff

Nex Machina was already confirmed for PC and I've even played the beta. It's fucking great by the way. Imagine if Alienation had Resogun's design philosophy. No down time, constant action, faster paced etc. Good shit.

But honestly I'm not surprised. The sheer number of indie or small titles coming to console coupled with the console audience being less likely to experiment with their purchases is making fewer of them stand out which would inevitably hurt Housemarque and their budget arcade titles.
