I've been trying to get back into the game, and I'm trying to narrow down what class to play. I feel pretty far off, still having paladin, rogue, priest, mage, warlock and death knight to chose from.
I'd like some help narrowing it down further, by getting some reasons not to play a certain class.
For example, I know I'm not going to play retribution paladin as long as it has holy combopoints

Remove time gating.

Every class pretty much has the same damage

a lot of specs from those classes don't work without leggos like arcane, outlaw, frost, which means you'll go through rng hell before you can actually play your class in a serious manner

I'd go warlock any spec or prot pala at this point in the game

ok why stop at flying though? How about you gotta grind to run for more than 30 seconds, you gotta grind for 3 months to use ground mounts you gotta grind for 6 minths to use flying mounts, you gotta grind to use flight paths. Is that the kind of game you want?

I didn't mind grinding for a ground mount, an epic ground mount, a flying mount etc etc.

But grinding rep just so I can get the privilege of flying in a different zone feels moronic as fuck. Does my character suddenly forget how to fly the moment he enters Legion territory? It makes no sense

Did they change floating combat text in legion? I haven't played since cata and while the numbers that pop up are fine in melee, when I play on a caster I can hardly see the numbers from 30-40 yards out. The ticking of DoTs that don't crit are especially small.

Alright.

For Priest, I find the healing painfully bland, and we're pretty weak in M+. Shadow however, is pretty fun and never "dull" because you're always competing against an impossible timer to do more DPS. Its always challenging.

Mage has lots of cool utility like portals, and is generally always useful on at least one spec. Only potential issue is that Frost is retarded strong right now so it not getting hit hard by a nerf bus is unlikely.

Warlock does good DPS but is painfully boring, and requires you to have multiple specs levelled to be optimal across all fights. Also very bad mobility.

UnholyDK is very weak and somewhat complex for the DPS it gives out, FrostDK is strong.

Haven't played a paladin enough, but from what I hear it may get boring due to simplicity.

Yeah, seems like they've made zones focus more on quests and less on exploration over time.

The state of PvP in this game is absolute trash. I can get over invulnerability skills and annoying as hell kiting but this shit right here is so damn annoying. This is just two people in arena skirmish, in BG's I find myself surrounded by like 15 pets and I can't actually tell what is happening. You can't kill them because they have so much hp and you'll just die trying.
