Medusa has a unique combination of qualities that allow her to be used for a unique strategy.

The build is phase, mask of madness, desolator, aghs. You push a lane by yourself while the rest of your team remains hidden. If an enemy tries to bully you away without committing, they get sneked. If enemies try to commit, your team will be able to respond before you die. Medusa is the only hero that has the range to threaten towers without committing, the durability to be way out in front, the wave clear to solo push a lane, the harass to drive off interference, and the counter initiation to turn a fight that was started on bad terms. Mask of madness gives her a burst of extra DPS during her ult when enemies can't fight back, desolator lets her be a threat to towers and is the best cheap damage item for split shot, and aghs gives her stats for more surviveability and more consistently available turnabout potential.

Try "midlaners that require triple-digit IQ". Since nobody in the trench plays against someone that's competent with these, they fold when confronted with their playstyle. Watch for the occasional counterpick though, that's their one line of defense and it's a doozy sometimes.

Shitters have trouble dealing with physical damage in general. They don't understand how armor works.

Silver edge reduces damage output of blademail so its still amazing.

Ask for suggestions about what heros to pick at march start, research what heros are meta with this patch.
Playing support/position 4-5 is usually the best way to learn Dota.
Play easy heros, play easy roles. Play two-three heros of the same role for 10 games, get used to it. Watch players who are good at certain heros/roles and compare them to how you play.
Never stop consciously improving at the game. Every game is a lesson to improve.

Fuck players who lack map awareness, game sense. If the enemy team is pooling all their initiation heros into a single lane, take advantage of that and push other lanes. Even better if you have a high ground/defensive hero who can hold the enemy team back from pushing a tower.

The point of SnY is to pair it up with something that your hero has. I've seen Svens rush it because you pair it with his Warcry and you're fast as fuck and you main people. I've seen SFs get it because it's a midgame item that's a lesser skadi.
