Alright senpaitachi, I just installed sims 3, how do I prevent the freezes? Do I just lock the fps to 30? I already got overwatch.

From my experience, overwatch is the cause of the freezes, it does that whenever it's cleaning things up. Take the bad with the good i guess.

Please recommend some essential animation packs for WW, there's like 30 of 'em, I want to download just maybe 10.

Only thing what I can think of is that the mod version differs from your game version or vice versa. I don't how they are actually compiled but I just assume this. The log file is hard to understand and while I checked it for error messages it had some weird references to file paths etc which don't exist on my machine so I'd imagine it refers to some existing files which are version dependent.

I know this is probably my case as well because I'm a lil pirate butt-buddy. Can toddlers be pirates too?

And I'm using the latest version of ww released on May 20 with the cracked 1.29. Maybe it's because it's pirated that it causes errors. Still I have yet to see any problems arising from this so I guess I shouldn't be worried

What you can do is refund 4 and get 3. I'm one of the lame normie sim players who doesn't even use porn mods, and I can say that the hype around 3 is correct. It's the best Sims to date and has so much stuff to do even without all the EPs. The base game makes 4 look like an early access demo.

One thing what I don't like about Sims 3 is that the performance is really weird on my i7-6700k/GTX 1080 - it stutters now and then even though I limit the frame rate to 60 fps.

Also is there a camera mod to make the camera behave like in Sims 4? Because I find the default camera in Sims 3 pain in the butt to use. Pls hlp!

I think that's actually problems with NVIDIA's new update. Might be best to do a fresh reinstall of all the NVIDIA software and drivers. It was doing it for me too on much newer and performance-intense games, despite my FPS counter saying 70-80fps while it was stuttering.

I found out why the stutter happens. Even if you have modified the config file to recognize your GPU, the game overrides the texture memory size with 32 megs. This causes huge stuttering even on higher end cards. So in order to fix this (I assume you have enabled your GPU earlier in GraphicsCards.sgr).

Please open /your game installation/Game/Bin/GraphicsRules.sgr

and straight from the beginning replace

replace it with this

>setb textureMemorySizeOK true

Game doesn't even use more than 1024k of texture memory in any situation I think.

On my high spec computer this helps a lot with stutter. There is still some hickups and this is when the assets and whatnot are loaded from disk. There are two options to help with the remaining issues - install on SSD or use ram disk. I haven't tried any of them as I tried to move my pirated Sims 3 to other drive it didn't start up. Need to figure out what to change in order to make it boot from there.

I also forgot to add that it seems like there are some CPU specific lines there as well. I think it could be possible to adjust the number of threads (to force it) because on my machine it looks like it's only using one core. I'm not sure about this yet though, need to do some more research.

closed the game after that and deleted the save, but god damn if sims 3 sex mods don't make it an entirely different game

What is the best violence mod for Sims 3? I installed "The Sims 3 Violence And Aggression" but lot of interaction is bugged. I managed to punch a lady from 20 yard distance and when I kicked a dog the dog stretched in weird way and then went back to sleep pose. Also people seem to die instantly from some interactions.

On Sims 4 the mods seem to be better in this sense..

Hey, I just downloaded and installed the Sims 3 Complete Collection + all of the store content from the games4theworlddownload. Its working, but it's really laggy and when I hold down the middle mouse button to rotate the camera it drags much too slowly. My PC is more than capable of running this game at max settings- what do I do to fix this?
