Reminder to report and ignore shitposting

>mfw I hear eurobeat in the distance and the enemy is the 116th

Posting this again as well as my 112. to see what people think. I had a lot of trouble playing against Panzer Lehr early game AT because of their recon AT guns, but due to the flexibility of the crafty poles, I was able to go heavy infantry until I was able to pull out some heavier stuff.

I really like the bomber Hurricane the poles have, since once it drops it's bombs it's still a fighter, just a slow one.

Those recce stuarts are a huge pain in the arse to deal with at first

sorry, meant 116th Panzers.

I'm really surprised at how well the AT plane performs. It really is a beast, though the low infantry count does suck and the Panzer III only have 1 HE, but I can see where they'd be useful, but I personally haven't had a lot of success with this deck just yet.

Friendly reminder to always have a deck ready for each faction so that you can always fill in where needed.

The Pz IIIs are there to pop tanks and halftracks for your vet inf. Use the inf to hold a town or wood as far in as you can get and make use of the abundance of 20mm to support them

How fast did you manage to do Pegasus Bridge?

17 minutes here, but might have managed 15 if focused a bit harder

Pretty dope

beat it with 2 mins to spare on my first and only playthrough

>1 (ONE) fighter
> poor anti-air tab

Are you a masochist or something?

>that one division that has no tanks other than French ones

Cracks me the fuck up.

what's the tier list for steel division so far?

fresh oc

Leafs best allied division
Hitler's Boyscouts best Axis

>not the 6th and 116th

>no Panzer III M

Can someone post their cancuck deck and give tips on them?
I don't do too well with them

Add another card of wasps to the deck
Repeat until you win

>best division
>relying on bren

That's fitting considering how much those 2 divisions beat the shit out of each other during COBRA. (It was COBRA, right?)

No, it was Cobra.

Best 80s action movie ever.

Have you done mission 8? it's fucking brutal. it only gets worse from there desu, just finished mission 10 and i'm so fucking done with this shit.

Am I doing this correctly?

Just done 1,5&6

No we aren't /gsg/ fuck off

>No Luftwaffe Jager

No idea how you play but you might run out of infantry. I would also drop the non vet L6s and fill out antitank or infantry

I wish SD was as well optimized as wargame. Trying to decide if it's worth playing with the worst graphics. It's truly ugly.

most of the time you're zoomed out looking at icons, shitty meeples don't really matter.

Simpler decks, worse optimization, there's a few things here marring the game. Graphics who cares

heres mine, it's served me pretty well so far

Honest question, do you really go through that much supply in a game?

Kubelwagons only have half the supply trucks do, plus it's more about covering multiple areas; AB troops run out of rockets pretty quick and I have em scattered all over usually. If nothing else in big games I can send them to allies and shit

This is honestly one of my most deficient areas as a commander. Good to know

if you're asking for your own deck, you could probably get away with just one card. I just like to use as many as I can and keep em busy. also they can tow guns and I think move troops

Try disabling unit scaling, it makes for way better effects.

I generally through one card in and then never use it

I didn't know that they could tow/taxi

do you find the puppchen to be useful?

not but, yes. Accuracy, veterancy and airborne help make up for the lack of range. That massive AP doesn't hurt either.

>start 10v10
>buy one tank cv
>buy two heavy tanks
>buy two autocannon ifvs
>buy aa
>buy 2 shock inf
>buy 2 elite inf
>buy lots of ground logistics
>move this entire group through the jungle of the edge of the map
>by the time they're just behind the enemy spawn spend the points you earned while moving there on airplanes
>take over enemy spawn
>win
In the last 5 or so games I have done this, and in the last 5 or so games this has worked.

oh god yes
the range takes some getting used to but that thing is incredible

also, is beating116 Windhund medium AI on Colombelles with 101st AB considered good

Probs not. Windhund get like no phase A infantry so if you cover open ground with AT well enough you're gucci

How useful are the artillery observer units?

Just finished my last classes, just finished my delicious toast and milk.
I'm ready to luftspam.

it's pretty nice to have one or two.
On decks with limited space for artillery I skipthem tho

If it's not over 200mm, I don't bother.

oh this too probably

also, is there no random map button for solo skirmishes?

oops meant to reply to

Not user I'm replying to but is there a limited number of artillery salvos you can use? I did a skirmish where I had some phase B observers and after a few salvos I couldn't use the artillery anymore so I was stuck with a useless unit. It was after Phase C when it stopped working though, so maybe it was just a phase thing?

Someone explain for me how to do the second German campaign mission.

>move recon forward through bush
>somehow get spotted and killed by Vickers

>cant use storch as fuckloads of aa scares it off

>cant move tanks forward without getting fucked by a 6pdr through a 1/2 metre gap in the fucking hedge

Each spotter comes with three salvos, after which you run out. The observers tend to have above average optics and can be used as recon after the artillery runs out.

I see. That's kind of dumb

Less dumb than calling down naval artillery every 40 seconds for an entire match, I'd say.

3 seems like an arbitrary number though and seemingly underwhelming for unit price.

>underwhelming for unit price.
Off-map artillery can crack entire defensive fronts, or completely stop an assault column.

Any limited barrage number is inherently arbitrary, and a recharging barrage system isn't viable because buying a unit for a fixed price that has that much destructive potential cannot be priced at a level where it is both balanced and viable to use.

One well placed strike can win games, no bullshit.

if you're aggressive and the enemy blobs even one time, you can break their back and end the game

Open up the limit
past the point of no return
You've reached the top but still you gotta learn
how to keep it
Hit the wheel and double the stakes
throttle wide open like a bat out of hell
and you crash the gates
(crash the gates)
Going for the back of beyond
Nothing gonna stop you
there's nothing that strong
So close now you're nearly at the brink
so, push it
(Ooo yeah)
Welcome to the limit

oh im fuckin' dying lad

All armored divisions are garbage, no exception. The terrain of maps mean that AT guns, infantry, and Air power is always going to be the superior option.
Strongest divisions will be Infantry/Airborne ones since they bring the strongest infantry and airpower, as well as usually strong AT guns.
Also allied armored divisions are superior to Axis divisions for the same reason, being terrain. Axis has better armor usually and more firepower, but this only matters in a straight slugfest, which with the maps is not possible, or is easy to avoid. Allied tanks are generally faster, turn faster, and aim faster, meaning they are stronger in hedge row country.
I am kind of curious to see what SD44 would play like without changing the mechanics on very open maps, but it probably wouldn't be that interesting.
Power divisions: Luft, Falschrim, 101st Airborne, 2nd Infantry.

WAKE ME UP INSIDE

this film is stupid af. Grow up.

I'm fucking dying
Why are wehraboos so awful

cry everytime

Damn, the last german mission is no joke when you didn't bring enough phase A units. I only barely regained enough ground to win, and almost got fucked by their last push down the middle that broke through a fuckload of allied units that I thought had it on lockdown.

>Campaign is literally just multiplayer skirmishes
howcan you defend this

I like multiplayer skirmishes.

These remixes are catchy.

DO IT AGAIN

DETROIT
STEEL

That's how it was IRL so it's no surprise it's the same here. Plus most of the responding German panzer divisions, like the Das Reich were ground down by allied air power.

...

>That's how it was IRL so it's no surprise it's the same here.
Well I wouldn't say no surprise. But it is rational .

What is the best division to play defensively?

Absolutely none. The best offensive divisions are also the best defensive divisions.
