Katarina has to be the most bland Tekken newcomer I've seen. She beats all the T6 newcomers in terms of how bland and forgettable she is.
Her and Laura in SFV are the same kind of very forgettable character. They have big tits and ass and appeal the lowest common denominator of people, and while they look kind of hot you forget about them the next day because in reality they lack defining characteristics and personality.

compared to the current generation of games commonly featured at majors, the likes of sfv, mkx/i2, and even nintendo games, i'd say it definitely qualifies as a hidden gem.
that doesn't mean it doesn't have flaws or isn't wack in ways, but overall it's a fun game with alright mechanics, and way more love from its dev than many of the other popular fgs. what i'd personally say is the appeal of it is that it's one of the few games with very low execution requirements where you can learn a large portion of the cast simply through playing with little to no labwork needed (you might look into safejump setups etc.) while still maintaining creative character depth.

I don't really care for the obnoxious rock music (although the part where the music syncs up to beating up your opponent is pretty cool), some of the character designs, the weirdly stiff animation it's not MK tier awful.
The gameplay is fantastic though so I keep playing occasionally.

KI is weird in terms of execution for me. All commands are very easy and all, but to get an actual hang of a character to be sufficient with him takes some training.
It appears as if KI pulled off what SF5 tried to do with being casual-friendly.
new xrdr2 story is short, but its labeled part A, so they might patch some more in later like they did with rev 1.

KI has flaws alright. I am biased towards this game because it gives me so much fun, but I am aware of its issues.
